Just wondering how long the medical exam is valid for.. thanks.

6 months. Don't forget that's also your visa expiration date is the expiration date of the medical. So don't go there too early in the process

That’s just not true. The medical is valid for up to 12 months. I have recently given in the medical with my Adjustment of status application (the medical has been over 6 months) and now my application is getting scheduled for an interview with no RFE

03/01/2019 - USCIS Chicago lockbox received case  for AOS/EAD/AP

03/21/2019 - NOA1 received hard copy via post (Notice date 03/14/2019)

Yes, however, to enter the US it's only valid for 6. To expand, you can enter the US with that medical (assuming the visa has been received) up to 6 months of having it done, after that 6 months it's no longer valid and you wont be able to enter the US using that visa. However, for the purposes of AOS, as long as you entered the US on your visa within the medical validity period, your medical is valid for a year for AOS.
