My fiance landed 2 hours ago.  I'm still waiting.

How long does the port of entry usually take at LAX?

I'm getting nervous.

Her phone has been off since she entered immigration

Try to relax........Depending on the POE, time of day, etc, it could be a few hours...........When my wife arrived at DFW, it took about 90 minutes..........but I certainly feel your pain........good luck......and welcome her to the US for us.....

This wait feels longer than the one year it took to get her here

It takes a while.  After my wife got her visa at the consulate in Juarez I drove her to Zaragoza bridge to cross into El Paso alone.  I waited 2 hours for her to get through the final paperwork and orientation from the agent.  There were not enough agents around to attend immediately to the 15-20 or so financees/spouses.  Final when one was available after waiting for one hour they got everyone taken care of.  So it is normal and just stay calm.  They don't allow the immigrants to use their phones when they are being attended to by the agent.

Well, right now I'm about to have a heart attack.  But it will be exciting if she ever shows up.

I'm now questioning my decision to have her fly alone.  I should have met her in Tokyo.
