I have no idea how not having a license prevents him from emailing a practice to ask if they will provide his summary.

You are not the patient, so I don't believe an email from you directly to the practice would be appropriate.

Sorry, I was meaning that he has no way of getting to Goole

Just to clarify - did he actually see a doctor in the time he was living in Goole? I have gone years without seeing a doctor because I'm pretty healthy. When I got my medical summary it showed I hadn't seen my GP since 2013. If your fiance hasn't been to a doctor for years because he hasn't needed to it's not a problem. If he has got gaps in his medical summary because his electronic record isn't updated then that is a problem and something the NHS need to sort out. I'd be inclined to take it up with the NHS because his current surgery sound incompetent.

Yes, that is were he was seen for his depression. But the doctors he's registered at now said they can write a letter clearing him it since it doesn't show on his summary 🙄. I feel like they're just jerking him around but if they don't get their system updated soon I'll have him go in and get online access.

It took me over 4 weeks to get what I needed from our surgery. It's so frustrating. You'd think no-one ever emigrates the way they react when you ask for a simple print out and a short letter.

Yeah, it's been about 2 months of trying to get everything. It's crazy! The medical has been the most stressful so far out of this whole process!

It will be over soon. The Knightsbridge part is fine and the embassy too. I find that it's when it's a situation where someone else has to do something, and it's out of your control to get it done, that it's so stressful. Has your fiance booked his appointment at Knightsbridge?

Yes! I'm way more persistent and I would be giving the doctors way more hell about it. But we haven't scheduled anything as of yet since I just called the NVC and got our case number a couple of days ago. Right now, we're just trying to focus on the summary and then getting the letter from the doctors. I've already sent everything on my end over to him and helped him get organized so the summary is all we need now. I am a bit confused on the deadlines. The NOA2 says valid from 03/21/19-07/20/19.. is that just the deadline to have everything scheduled and then once the medical is done we get another 6 months deadline for him to move over?

thats when they want you to have your interview done by. You can extend this by writing an updated letter of intent which he can take to the interview.

Your K1 visa is good from the date of medical + 6 months

That's what I thought, thank you! I would have him schedule his medical but don't we need an actual letter showing our case number? And since it's taking so long to get everything we need, I would hate to not have everything together for the medical...

as long as you have the LNDxxxxxx number you can book your medical. Thats all they wanted from me anyway. At the medical they did ask when my interview was, not sure you have to have this though, im sure someone can confirm.

How far out did you schedule your interview from the time of your medical?

He can book it and then reschedule if everything isn't ready. They have limited appointments (because they're the only place in the whole of the UK that can do the medical). They are helpful at Knightsbridge so don't worry about that. It's better to book something, than to have to wait for appointments to be available a month after you're ready.

I left 11 days between the medical and interview. There was a weekend so I didn't want to risk the medical not having arrived at the embassy. They say 5 working days between medical and interview.

They want the LND number. You call them to book the appointment, so they don't see the letter.

I ended up having 1 month between medical and interview. You do not need to have an interview booked when you go to the interview :)

You (USC) should receive an email from the NVC once it was sent out and that is enough, also he'll maybe receive a letter by then showing the LND number.

Also I saw earlier difficulty getting to Goole,If he ends up genuinely needing to go to Goole let me know in all seriousness (I'm only 30 mins from Goole myself) as I'll be temp insuring a car to finish up last few bits in a couple of weeks and I know this part is the most stressful and you've both had a hell of a time with it all.
