I have been staying with my fiancé in the UK for 5 months. My stay is about to run out, so can my fiancé and I travel to Canada to spend time together during the beginning of the k1 process? She can’t come to America as she has been denied a visitor visa and is no longer eligible for a ESTA. I can book a long term vacation rental before I arrive to show to the border officials if this is possible. Does anyone have any experience with this?

What you do and where you go is of no consequence (unless it is a travel ban country).  The immigration process does not stop you from living your life

If she can get a visa for Canada then sure.

Do you need a Canadian visa? I read online that you don’t need a visa as long as your stay doesn’t exceed 6 month out of the year.

Fair enough, I just wonder if it would look bad that I’ve been in the uk for so long before traveling there.

As a USC you are free to travel.  You do not need to maintain any kind of set time inside the USA.  If in six months time you wish to go to Australia or back to the UK then you can do so.

True I shouldn't have used the term visa.

She will need the Electronic Travel Authorisation eTA though. and since she is denied to us there is a chance they don't want her in Canada either since they share data. But she can try.
