According to the forums, The D-156 needs to be filled up online, but no where in the packet does it say that. So what do I do? Also, Q#38 "have you ever been refused admission into the US?" Does this mean is if you've been denied a visa or something else, like Airport-to-airport? Can the fees for the medical interview be paid ahead of time, like now (interview is month and a half way)? What about the paying for the $100 for the "K" visa application? Thanks.

It may work differently in Taiwan than the Philippines. But we had to pay for the medical at the medical exam, we had a choice of several designated hospitals around the country, we then just hand carry the results to the interview. We also had to pay the visa fee prior to scheduling the interview, but in Taiwan we can pay at any post office. We received a paper DS-156 to fill out but did it online to make it clearer. My wife's name was misspelled on our i-130 NOA1 which we later had corrected, I think my handwriting must have been bad? I'm sure refused entry means at either immigration or actual visa issuing.

Don't know about you, but I long for the days that my wife and I can go home together, I'm here waiting with her, and keep imagining a small house in the country and a time where we can look back on this and laugh at what we went through. It's been such a long wait, we're just waiting for our interview also. Good luck.

Refused admission means at the point of entry - not a refusal of a visa application.

Your consulate website provides information regarding how and when you are required to pay the visa fee.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3220.html

The visa processing fee for a non-immigrant visa is paid in advance at designated branches of the Bank of the Philippine Islands and Citibank. All fees may be in Philippine pesos equivalent to the prevailing exchange rate determined by the Embassy.

Most medical clinics don't accept payment until day of the medical - they wouldn't know the total in advance if your fiance is getting vaccinations since they don't know what she needs.

Often the official packet information is very outdated and does not reflect when forms are required to be filed out online.

Does this mean that medical exam fee is $95 + vaccine fee?

I thought, it's fixed at $95 for adults and $67 for children. Please verify.

Sorry I cannot confirm if that is the case and didn't mean to confuse the issue. It was my best guess because not all K1 applicants get vaccinations therefore prices differ for each applicant.

Hopefully someone else going through Manila can confirm.

It's just an online form rather than a handwritten form. It generates a bar code. Use the form on the website for your consulate, generate the barcode and print it out.
