Islamabad NADRA Marriage Certificate or Nikah Nama?

Hello,

 

My wife should be getting an interview date soon for her CR-1 visa. Does the Islamabad Embassy require the original Urdu Nikah Nama with English translation or is the NADRA marriage certificate sufficient? 

 

If the Nikah Nama is required, does anyone know where I can get it translated in Multan or Lahore?

Both. They need to Nika Nama with an English translation AND the marriage certificate with English translation. Bring the originals with copies, the consulate will look at the originals and keep the copies.

You can be get translation from Notary Public. I don't know about Multan or Lahore but I think you will be go any Court there outside people's sitting they will be make easily.

Nikah nama English translation version is necessary. Nikah registrar can provide you both (urdu+English) . Hope my reply would  be helpful

Thank you all for the replies. My wife went to the Municipal Committee and they said they would have it translated by tomorrow. Can the people outside the courts do the notary public?
