I would like to ask if I can travel outside the US if I am a temporary Greencard holder?

 

Below are the details of my travel:

 

My travel date:  May 2019

Expiration of my Temporary Greencard: October 2019

Country: Philippines

Travel anywhere you want!  You will want to make sure your passport is valid too.

There are a few country that offer visa waivers for having a greencard.

 

 Obtaining a visa waiver to any country depends on your nationality (i.e. your country of citizenship). Having a US green card only makes you a legal permanent resident in the US and not a citizen. So if natives of your country of citizenship (which passport you hold) require visa to enter then you will also need to do same.

As long as my Temporary Greencard is valid, I can visit other places outside US?

Your passport must still be valid ,and depending on where you want to visit, you may need a visa.  The green card gets back into the US with the usual caveats.

 

Your Filipino?  You can get travel based on the US green card to: https://www.path2usa.com/countries-that-offer-a-visa-waiver-for-us-green-card-holders.  Mary just went to Canada and just needed the Canadian eTA.  Otherwise the normal countires for visa waiver and visa on arrival apply.

Yes, I am a Filipino and going back home this June, but my Temporary Greencard will expire on October. Does the expiration date matter or not? As long as it is still valid?
