Hello everyone,

I'd like to share this with all of you and eventually someone migth come up with good news.

I scheduled my interview and i was so excited about it, because finally I was seeing the ligth at the end of the tunnel.

I then called the authorized doctor in my city to schedule the medical appt and got to find out that doctor is not processing medical exams for Visas anymore.

The lady on the phone simply said "we are waiting for the embassy to name us another doctor."

I was like, ok...let's wait... and wait... finally I decided to call the US Embassy in Paris and try to reach out to anyone but all i got was an automatic mesage from a machine asking me to dial 1 for this or 2 for that.

Next move was to send an email the embassy through those contact forms. It has been 2 weeks already and nobody reaches out.

The only authorized doctor is in the islands (Azores). I am obviously already getting mentally ready to travel to azores and spending another 500 euros in the stay and fligth.

US Embassy still has that doctor in Lisbon as an authorized doc and doesn't bother to update the list or even take her from it. I know I'm being impatient probably but thing is, time works against most of us in this situation and I want to get all figured out beforehand, namely fligths and hotel booking just in case.

Should I wait a little bit more?

Thanks!

@PauloCaraujo I know right.. might be that one because it’s the only one in Lisbon. I contacted the embassy in Paris twice already and got no answer so far. I’ll wait for a couple weeks more and see the outcome of this.

Yes, plus I don’t think you’d get your results in the same day... so you’d have to travel there. It’s going to cost an arm and a leg either way, but worst case scenario I’d rather have the appointment in Portuguese...
