Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Yes, because the act of getting married proves nothing except your willingness to stand still for 20 minutes and sign paperwork.  Building a life with your new spouse by living in the same place for an extended period of time, sharing a living space, joining your lives together socially, financially and culturally DOES prove something.

Well said.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I am so very sorry.  Try to find out why you were denied.  This will help later if you decide to file for a spousal visa.  Hang in there.

Based on the limited information supplied by the OP, I would speculate that the CO doubts that the relationship is bona fide......if so, the ONLY cure is a great deal of time spent together.......either many visits outside the US or marriage and relocation of the US citizen to Morocco, imo.  This is especially true if there is a large age gap, different religions, etc.  Casa seems to be very difficult, sometimes.

For Casa and your personal issues this is what is needed:   and i do know as we went thru this

CO will need to see sincerity,  he/ she knows you 2 want to be to together in the USA but that is now / they need to see a furture with you 2 together.

CO needs to see serious intention / they are quite serious about giving out visas in Casa embassy ,  so you need to be completely serious about all things

CO needs to see a level of trust between the 2 of you

Now to do all this:

needs multiple visits with quality time spent / not just   a vacation or holiday but time for the USC to know you and your family,  your culture and your religion .   you may be coming here but a lot of Morocco culture will come with you .   i grow moroccan mint that Adil bought here .  We have a tanjine pot .  We fast.  these things will be important for you to feel comfortable here.  she will have to be able to adapt to you and you to her and the US. it is not easy sometimes.

Seriousness is shown  not just thru marriage but by going the distance to go thru these heartbreaking times and stay together and marry and do the multiple trips.   If she can't afford it,  then she can't afford the immigration process.  It is not easy.  It is not fast.   It is not cheap.

Trust is shown in many ways .   Sharing all things but for Casa, it is commingling of finances after marriage.   If you are able to marry in 2019 ,  she will have to add you to tax returns for 2019 next spring /  this will be in time for any interview you have for a spouse visa.

You are looking at over a year to marry,   apply and show good intentions at an interview.

Don't give up but work on this

Americans are known for working hard so adapt now to that by doing all you can do to make this work

We are missing a lot of info but just going from what has been said in this thread a K1 was never going to work, is it the end absolutely not but should be looked upon as a multi year process.

I should have added

there are a lot of comments here and a lot of good advise

but no one here is saying "don't quit"

most of Americans came from other countries / i have one Iroquois Indian (that is a US tribe ) grandparent,  the other 3 came from Finland, Germany and UK

I wouldn't be me if they hadn't immigrated

this is the American dream

nothing wrong with it

nothing wrong with marring an American if you have found the right person

long road ahead if you follow thru with the process

a visa is never guaranteed  it is a privilege

if you are granted a visa,  thru marriage,  honor your wife and the US

and work hard here to have the "american dream" make your life what you hope it can be

A situation like this requires a serious plan of action if the OP and fiance hope to succeed.  The immigration process normally requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and money........this kind of case really amplifies that, imo.  I hope the OP and fiance can have a wonderful life together in the US.....

Perfect!  Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.  I am from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who is now an American.  It was a challenging journey for me also.  Thank God that this country will give people an opportunity to migrate here & enjoy the American dream through hard work, education, & perseverance.  There is no other country like it.  To anyone reading this, don't give up if you are sincere & not coming here for a fraudulent reason.  Once in a while, someone will say things that I wish I knew how to express.  You summed it for me.  Thank you & I wish you the very best.  Blessing.

I always thought that if someone really loved the other, why put themselves through all of that if it's not authentic but I guess you are right.

And yet, so many do....

The co called me this morning and says the case is back to Washington , so I guess my Visa is Dennied , so sad and disappointed

So ive picked up there is a difference in religion.   One trip lasting 2 weeks. Asking for more evidence on relationship. USC has been previously married.  But we still don’t know the age gap?  There are three almost identical scenarios to this in the Facebook group that I am in. All resulted in the same. Denial. HOWEVER  there is one that applied for CR1 after K1 denied some years ago. They applied everything everyone here in this thread and other threads suggested and they were approved at the interview last week. Im guessing it can be done via CR1 if you both work at it. Good Luck.

I know it is a rough journey, have your fiance come to Morocco and get married and file CR1

Getting married won't solve the reason for denial. The OP needs to find out the reason for the denial, resolve that and then figure where to go from there. Getting married and reapplying for a cr-1 will not fix the reason for the denial. it will only lead to a second denial.

I never said it was going to fix it, and if you notice I asked several questions further on down, none of which have been answered by the OP.

not in every case will it further result in another denial.

it can be appealed

as i said above "i appealed and won my case"

but the appeal to the Immigation court of Appeals took over a year

and my letter back said "marriage is declared bona fida ,  reapply

so  i just could have applied and addressed the issue of "him not knowing what books i read "  in the new interview

What a ridiculous excuse for a visa denial, wow!
