Hi. NEED HELP!  I got RFE at the end of May on the ground that USCiS is concerned that our relationship is genuine:( and asking to provide proof of bona fide relationship along with evidence of financial support. I am confused because in my initial package I mailed all evidence of 6 trips that I made within 15 months period to visit my fiancé. What else should I send them? another question is for providing Evidence of financial support. Do I have to submit Affidavit of Financial support form I-134? As far as I can understand Affidavit is required only for interview?

Here is a link to a good explanation on what to use to answer your "relationship requirements" from an RFE.

I-134 if not requested in the RFE is not supplied at this time. As you said, only at the interview is the I-134 needed.

Q1. Letters will be issued once they are complete. I have experience that others have sometimes been told that there is a RFE but it never gets issued and the case goes on to the final adjudication. Don't depend on governmental sights to be very accurate. The only exception is CEAC.

Q2. Sometimes RFE's require the Supv to sign off and sometimes the Supv instructs that a RFE is not necessary and one is not issued.

Q3. I'm not trying to be antagonistic, but this is USCIS's timeline not yours. When something gets done, it's not when you want it. I keep telling others that the "man with the gold makes the rules". It's a hard pill to swallow but it is reality.

Q4. This happens to others. With the millions of visa's issued everything you read here has happened to others.

This is a process and if you trust the process and let it play out and you have patience, your experience will be that much better.

Thank you I appreciate it and you're right. One rep told me just that when I got a call back from a tier 2, she said I was not suppose to know that because it had been ordered on the 2nd of July but it isn't concrete as of yet.  Hopefully I hear something back soon, until then I will leave this in the back burner for now.

Thank you very much. I mailed my RFE response. Even though we had enough proof of relationship requirements in initial package, I sent more proof with RFE. I-134 I didn't include. Instead, I included proof of employment, IRS transcript, some paystubs and other financial docs. Hope it will work.

My approval came in the mail and still hasn't updated on the websites or the app. So I say just give it time, I'm sure it will be in the mail soon. I believe they have 90 (don't quote me, but I know its a lengthy time)  days to respond.

I wish you the best in this journey.

It still hasn't updated and I called to make sure that it showed in their system and it does. They said the letter was the most important.

My total days was like maybe 13 but every case is different so don't go off mine because when I was waiting I seen people get responses in less than a week.

I was notified of an RFE yesterday by text. I called this morning to get more information and they have my fiance as being previously married (common law). They basically want proof that he is no longer in a marriage. The common law marriage was to his son mother. They are no longer living together. They haven't lived together for 3 years. Do I need him to go ahead a get the certificate of non impediment to prove that they are no longer living together? The tier 2 representative mentioned a divorce decree but as I stated before it was only a common law marriage. Not sure how to proceed from here.
