hi everyone.

I check my case status online and says that a  RFE as been mailed may 10 and i haven't gotten it as yet. what should i do.

is there anyone this every happen to.

To make your life a little easier you should get called informed delivery. Details below. And look for the letter from the sample attached.

There is a service provided by the USPS (US Postal Service) whereby each morning USPS will scan your incoming mail (just the address side of the envelope) and email you an update. It's very convenient these days to have advance notice that an important piece of mail is being delivered.

The service is available to most communities but some are still being rolled out so not all areas are available. Check the website with your zip code to verify your location is available for the service. A person in the USA can sign up for this free service here:

https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

You can also use the USPS Mobile app available in the Google play store.

We have a lot of tips, tricks and hacks concerning your visa from NOA2 to NVC to embassy.

Envelope looks similar to this but without the NOA2 on the outside.

And.... Once last thing. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your  timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

We received an RFE in early May for additional evidence of my fiancée's divorce.  We orginally submitted her marriage record, which had information about her divorve, but is not valid for a K1 Visa

I just sent the RFE in via USPS Priority Mail today and signed up on the USCIS so I can receive updates on my case.  I submitted both a Polish court decision of her Ukranian divorce, and also her Ukranian divorce certificate plus the certified translations.  I'm hoping it doesn't take more than the 60 days to receive a response back.  From everything I've been reading, it can take as little as 2 weeks to as long as 90 days.

Good luck to everyone else!

My RFE response was also received June 4th. I'm anxiously awaiting the NOA2 and counting the days. If I don't hear anything by the 2 wk mark then I will call. Mine was for a signed divorce decree for myself. The one I sent in was missing the last page. I side loaded more screen shots of calls, video calls and msgs. I also included my other divorce decree even though they didn't mention it in the RFE letter because I noticed it wasn't signed either. Just in case trying to be proactive as not to get a 2nd RFE even though I've read they are rare.

So you did disclose that you have been married twice to USCIS on your I-129F? Hopefully adding all that extra stuff that they  did not ask for won't hurt you. Usually you ONLY send what they ask for! I understand your reasoning about being proactive, but the question is will USCIS?

Yes I did disclose my 2 prior marriages. Theres a few good reasons I side loaded my RFE. In my case although the RFE is delaying everything under my particular circumstances I'm glad I had the opportunity to send in additional evidence. I know it wont make a difference to USCIS but I did it for the embassy to see before our interview.

Got a notification for RFE after 95 days on the old site yesterday (11). We are trying to call USCIS and we got to tier 2 and they said they could send it by fax (my fiancé is out of town until August). We haven't got it yet but we were SO SURE everything was correct and that we sent so much more that what was asked for the initial petition... it's a bummer. Trying to stay positive but it's already a long process and it's so hard to have  to wait whatever time it takes to get the answer, the NOA2 and everything else. I'm kinda of depressed about it today... 😕

It's probably a quick fix.....hopefully, it will only delay your case a few days, if at all....good luck.

Alright... we just got our letter... it was a problem with filling the form. My question is: do we send the form or just fill the answers in the letter? TIA!

You’re lucky you’ve got your letter .. my fiancé isn’t comfortable calling and feels if we annoy them they will put it backwards when it’s so annoying because I want the entire process to start moving aghhh
