Hi everyone! Today (4/23), I just got a RFE for my fiance to provide Intent to Marry within 90 days. We are working on drafting a signed statement letter for this.

My issue is, I had a feeling we would get a RFE, but not for this reason. I was looking through our I-129F last weekend and found different mistakes.

For example, I said that my fiance and I saw each other from Sept 7 - Oct 1 after he got his passport on Sept 27. That's a discrepancy, because he got his passport on June 27, and we were engaged Sept 27... I can't believe I messed it up.

Should I add additional evidence that they didn't ask for to correct other issues?? Has anyone done that before or have any advice??

I would not complicate myself and I would answer strictly what you were asked for. If you wish you could write a statement like a letter and talk about your love story.

They way I understood from an officer at USCIS they looked at your case and if they asked you for one thing and not the other that means they are satisfied with everything else but the thing they sent an RFE for.

But maybe other members have other opinions.

Hey everyone!

Our NOA1 date is October, 11. We got a RFE on the 2nd of April. It was a very easy one - we just didn’t check one box..

on the 11th we sent our response. And we still didn’t have any response from them. It’s been almost 2 weeks, but status hasn’t changed to “RFE response was received” yet.

Do they always update the status when they receive your response?

just got my reply received 26th

I received the same text yesterday.  Funny thing is per USPS tracking they received my RFE package on the 17th.  So frustrating to see it took them a week to update to “received response”
