My fiancé is chasing tomorrow as it will be 60 days exactly since we received the RFE.....I really didn't think it would get to us having to chase! But here we are.

Hopefully we will have an answer!!!!

Maybe it will come in the mail tomorrow and he won't even have to call....🤞

Well I'm officially on week 5...  I don't feel right complaining seeing as how Carina has been waiting for much longer than any of us has.  Hopefully she will hear something meaningful tomorrow...   I'm planning on calling again this Friday and see if I can get in contact with a Tier 2 that is actually interested in giving me some helpful information.  I'm not very patient but I would think 5.5 weeks should entitle me to at least get something out of the conversation.  They may give me the same "wait 60 days" talk.  Who knows.

I will let you know what he is told today!!

Eeekkkkkkkk…..

So my fiancé rang and got through to a Tier 2 officer.

He said that we are still within the processing time - it takes up to 7 months to get an approval.

THIS IS WHERE THE CONFUSION LIES RE THE 60 DAYS.  The 60 day limit is the date which you chase the USCIS to check if they have received your RFE.  They don't have to give you a decision to the RFE within the 60 days.

Hopefully next month we will have an answer!!

I got my rfe  on  August 10th for court records and police reports from 25 years ago . Two separate cases both involving steroids .I just love reliving my past and seeing the schmuck I once was . Now I wait and see if my past will mess with my future

All paper work was  received on September 6th by USCIS

have you heard back yet??

Are you sure he actually spoke with a Tier 2?  The reason I ask is that is exactly some of the bs that I got from the Tier 1.  I would have him call back and try to get through to another Tier 2.  As you can see on here, some people actually get someone helpful after waiting 4 hours to get a call back.

He did yes. He simply won’t chase again.

he’s been informed the information I relayed above and he’s not wasting more time calling back to be told the same thing.

there is nothing more to say to him.

Carina We got our approval on 10/3 the USCIS  site did update and show us are approval on 10/4 . A hard copy was received in the mail on 10/7 . The Rfe took 28 days.  I feel for you and others that are still waiting with a RFE the stress is tremendous and can make life extremely difficult

OK... I got a survey question....  I know that Carina has hit the 60 day mark but what is the longest time delay from RFE Response Received to NOA2?  The next longest one I have seen on here was about 40 days.  I know about the whole 60 to 90 days but most websites even advise you to contact USCIS if it has run longer than 60 days.  Just curious.

Hello, They actually tell you what do to at the bottom of the page that you have cropped. Have you sent photos of you two together? try to add the receipts of when you both went to restaurants, movie teather. A receipt of the hotel where your fiancee stayed too (if it apply).

For the circumstance of meeting : I would suggest  a short description  saying how you both got to know each other (If it was trough a site don't forget to provide information making clear that  it isn't an International Marriage broker (IMB))

For the Intent to marry: What they are asking seems too much, but looks like several people are getting the same message for their RFE recently. It may be worth to give them what they require. Make some plans for the wedding(but don't book them yet), get some estimates for  the  ceremony, dress, suit, food, etc. They just want to know you're really planing those things.

Also show them that your family and hers approve your union. You can easily show that by providing photos of you two and your family on a restaurant, home , or even at your engagement ceremony.

Good luck. I hope I don't receive and RFE for the intent to marry, when I sent my documents the standard was just to  give them the intent to marry papers and  not other plans to support it, but anyways I sent some chat conversations  of me and my fiance about our wedding plans. I am really expecting they consider them as prove.
