Haha my fiancé got it in his physical mailbox. I never tried the app, but the website still says rfe received. Sorry I got distracted by the way. I know exactly what you mean by trying to just live your normal life and routine but it feels like something is missing. It’s like waiting on standby for your life to actually start!

Well congrats to you!

I know up to 3 weeks waiting after an RFE can be perfectly normal, but I'm secretly just hoping it's been in the transit via mail and the tracking number hasn't updated.

That’s what I hoped too. I made a joke to my fiancé on snapchat about how I’m looking forward to him just casually telling me the NOA2 came in the mail and then it actually did.

Here we go....

I-129f mailed (May 5)

NOA 1 (May 9)

RFE (Aug 7)

and here I am, waiting for the mail to come. Does calling ever give any info on what kind of evidence they are requesting? Is the next step just waiting for the RFE in the mail, then sending the evidence back ASAP?

we’re super bummed, but we gotta do what we gotta do I guess.

I was actually really happy to get my rfe haha. It sucks yeah but at least its progress. I was mentally preparing myself to be on “your case was received” until November-December, that way anything happening before that feels quick. I’d just wait for it in the mail if I were you. And yes, just gather up whatever they’re asking for, and resubmit it. Make sure you don’t include too much other stuff, just stick to what they’re specifically requesting. Best of luck! ❤️

We forgot answer one question 4a. Yes or no. Stupid

Was it Part 3 question 4a?!  We did the exact same thing!

Received RFE in the mail yesterday.  Had only one thing on it and it was P3 Q4a where they ask about prior criminal record.

I have one question about RFE... my fiancé and I noticed another mistake while we were waiting for the RFE in the mail.  We used a passport photo for the beneficiary that is almost 3 years old and was used for her previous USA tourist visa.  The RFE DID NOT ASK for any updated photos.  Should we try to correct other mistakes when we send back this RFE?  Or should we stick only to what they want?

Thanks for all the help everyone!

Do not send more then what is asked for in the RFE. That is a black hole you don't want to fall into.!!!!

It seems all I have to do is check 1 box, then send the pages back in the pre-addresses envelope.

Am I doing it right? Just check the paper and send it back in the addresses envelope?

It depends on your answer. If it’s ‘Yes’ then you also have to include certified court documents

Hello everyone

I just received an RFE on August 13. I checked this on their site. I was just wondering if anyone had an idea on how many days it takes till I receive the actual letter. Also if I call, would they give me any additional information on what they specifically requested so I can get started and get the material for what they need.

thank you!

My RFE was dated Aug 7, received it in the mail Aug 12.

According to others, calling will not give any additional info. They will just say what you know and explain the RFE process. Just sit tight. It won’t take long and then you can make your moves.

The answer is ‘No’—should have specified that in my post!

Then yes you just need to check No, sign and print your name. Make a copy for your records
