Hey guys and gals,

I recently submitted all my docs on CEAC and I recieved a message regarding the benificiary's Police Cert and Birth Cert saying "please replace this with an acceptable police/birth certificate."

The certificates are not in English but they are in the official language of the country we are applying in, which is Hungary,  which is why I am confused. The NVC website states this as well. Has anyone else had any similar experience?

You can call NVC to have a presentative looked into your files and this person may be able let you know what problems were.

If you can upload the some pictures with sensitive information omitted, someone from the Hungary can confirm if yours are acceptable.

May not be the issue you have but

- Check if they were arranged so you can read with your monitor without a need to rotate them.

- Check if the resolutions were good

- Check if translation was attached

A lot of the time, the errors are just purely aesthetic and you just have to upload a clearer image.  If it is in the country's language, that should not be the issue.  I uploaded mine without translations and they were accepted.  They care more about the view being legible and perfect, upright, very clear, nothing cut off in view, etc.

I got same from nvc yesterday asking to replace the birth certificate. I called today and They told me i needed to upload the "longer version". This is for DR. But call them to find out what you need.

Two types of birth certificates are available: a condensed version called an "Extracto de Acta" and a longer version, called an "Acta Inextensa," which contains more information. Both versions are legitimate civil documents; however, post requires only the Acta Inextensa is accepted  be submitted for immigrant, K and V visa purposes due to its more complete nature. Dominican civil documents used for visa purposes do not need to be legalized.

If you applying in Hungary, you are good with hungarian police cert and birth certificate. But I advise you can change your birth certificate for new one for free. It`s three language.

I did it ten years ago. You just need to go to local office (anyakonyvi hivatal). If you need certify translation, I recommend gsolex.com. $25/page and 24/48 hrs. You just need to upload your documents online and you will receive translation by email. Good Luck!
