Just checked the status and it changed to fingerprints review was completed...don’t know what that means as far as EAD goes

It means they are working on your case now and have completed the security checks.

New Card Being Produced should follow shortly for the I765 status....as long as that's for your I765 status and not I485.

It changed for both the i765 and i485

So on egov, your I765 went from what status to "fingerprint review complete"?

Does it usually go from; "case received" "fingerprint review was completed" then go to "approved"? my AP says case received, EAD says fingerprint review completed and AOS says ready to be scheduled for an interview

K1 NOA1: 2018-01-26

K1 NOA2: 2018-08-06

NVC received: 2018-09-04

K1 Interview: 2018-11-14

K1 Visa in hand: 2018-11-22

POE: 2018-12-13

SSN application: 2019-01-08

Marriage: 2019-01-18 (the best bit!)

SSN in hand: 2019-01-28

AOS application: 2019-01-31

EAD application: 2019-01-31

AP application: 2019-01-31

AOS NOA1: 2019-02-14

EAD NOA1: 2019-02-14

AP NOA1: 2019-02-14

BIOMETRICS: 2019-03-04

AOS Interview: 2020-02-06

AOS approved: 2020-02-06

Green Card in Hand: 2020-02-20

ROC packet sent: 2021-12-08

ROC Biometrics: 2022-01-29

It depends on the website.

I am ONLY talking about statuses on egov.uscis.gov. I do not have experience with my.uscis.gov as I have never had an update on it PLUS you will not find a third party tracker that uses that site and 3rd party trackers are how anyone does scans.

I'm also not referring to I485. Please leave that out of the discussion as it is a seperate process and has nothing to do with EAD and AP.

These are the results of the cases I was able to monitor. Note that I could only monitor a few cases at a time (10 or so) but the ones that I did, followed this procedure exactly.

EAD Approval

1. New Card being produced ~ plus 5 to 8 days

2. Card was mailed to me ~ plus 1 to 2 days

3. Card was picked up by USPS ~ plus 1 to 3 days

4. Card was delivered to me by the Post Office

*5. Case was approved

*Sometimes the I765 status will change to this at the same time the I131 updates to this status. The I131 rarely updates at all until after the I765 has reached "delivered" status. It may not update at all on this site BUT they will come together as a combo card if you applied concurrently EVEN IF the I131 status doesnt update at all.

Note as well that I am talking about the statuses you receive from actually logging into egov.uscis.gov, not from any email notification and not from any 3rd party app. The wording and timing may be different if you are looking at emailed statuses and/or statuses that come from a 3rd party tracker but are connected to egov.uscis.gov.

I'm not talking about "Case History" at all.

What I think happened was that since he never went for his bio appointment until yesterday it’s throwing off the “time line of updates” for EAD in his case. I’m hoping by next week we will get the card being produced update

My status has not changed but I got social security card mailed which I did not request but I assumed that USCIS requested? Is it also part of EAD process? Did you also get your social security card mailed right before getting combo card? Thank you!
