Just want to know what I need and how other military members went about getting their spouse into the system and receive BAH and BAS after entering with a K1 visa. I dont know if the branches have different requirements but I'm in the Marine Corps.

Same as if you got married to a citizen. Inform chain of command of the marriage, supply the documents and they should be able to add your spouse into the system which would activate your BAH and all.

What they require as in to their legal status (eventually pending I-485) you may need to discuss with them but shouldn't be that big of a deal honestly.

Semper Fi brother, another Marine here. The requirements are the same for all the services so don't worry about that.

1. Beneficiary's Birth Certificate

2. Marriage License

3. Beneficiary's Passport

4. I am not sure about SSN to be exact. But I am pretty sure about that they can do it without one initially.
