Hello,

I will have my OATH on the 19th. Would that be a problem if I sent the I-130 form for petitioning my mom on the same day? (of course after the ceremony and make a copy of my certificate).  Or do I have to wait a couple of days?

Any insight will help! Thank you!

As long as you have the certificate, you can do it in the same day.   When I did oath, I signed the certificate, they collected it, and then sent it to me like 1 week later.

You may be able to get the certificate on the same day as the oath :) I did mine very very long time ago.

No need to rush, better to make sure it is done correctly.

Should be fine. But why the rush to do it at the very limit? As noted above, focus on doing it right. It’s a 12+ month wait anyway.

It's more like I want to get things done early. Just my personal choice. But seems like I cannot do it on the same day anyway because I have to wait for the cert to arrive at home. So yeah... I am more than ready. I have not meet my mom for like 5 years now so it is a big deal for me.

Doing it right preferable than getting things done early.
