Can I call USCIS to see if they’ve sent my petition to NVC yet?

  • You can call USCIS and NVC
    • The hold is quite long
    • They may not directly answer your question

It is only 14 days after your NOA2 (based on your profile's timeline).

Too soon to sit on hold for hours and get no answer. I would not worry until May 1.

I've called NVC probably 10 times while I was waiting to see if they received my case from USCIS... after 6 weeks of calling, they finally found my case number, which meant they received it.

Call NVC (hard to even get through and then it's at least 30 minutes wait) and give them your USCIS case number. If they tell you they can't find anything in their system - it's not there yet. If it is, you'll get the NVC case number.

Good luck :)

Am I calling the wrong number? It’s always quick for me, 15 minutes maybe

Your I-129F approval time was 168 days versus mine of 219 days.

Wanna trade?

Hang in there. He'll be home with you soon.

Haha not at all. I just got back from seeing him so I’m missing him extra. And really hoping he’ll be home with me before my 21st birthday, July 19th.

Better than 50% chance he will be your birthday present.
