According to https://www.visajourney.com/content/k1historical the VJ average is 27 days from NOA2 to NVC Received, 17 days from NVC Received to In Transit, and 5 days from In Transit to received by consulate. So I kind of think the OP is right to be anxious (though they shouldn't panic, as they're not far outside of average processing time yet).

OP has in mind that NVC has their case from the day of his approval letter, which is not true.

Since today is a shipping day at NVC, I'm sure they'll will receive an update today or tomorrow.

Thank you. My research shows NVC received it on March 21. So yes, it took 4 weeks.  Going by the timelines published it should only take 17-19 days for them to email me. It has been 26 counting today. So I wait... It seems you can no longer talk to anyone in NVC. The phone recording hangs up after saying to go to the website. The way of the future is disappointing. The gov. usually has no problem spending my money. Wonder why they won't hire employees to answer the phones and put people to work.  It's a win win. Sorry but i'm frustrated.

Not true. I understand it took a week for the transit. I actually spoke to a woman at NVC in early April. She gave me the case number on the phone. So it's been 26 days total they have had it, and to me that is too long according to the published timelines.

But thank for the shipping day comment. I did not know they had shipping days. Explain further if you would please.

OMG!  AYRTON nailed it. I just checked the status:

U.S. Department of State
IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
In Transit
Immigrant Visa Case Number: KEV201957***

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

It probably changed to "Ready" today but don't fully trust it yet. It will physically arrive to Kyiv on Friday. In the mean time you can do your DS-160, schedule and do your medical, and print out payment coupon and pay MRV fee (It will be more than $265 due to currency exchange rate probably)

Technically you can schedule your interview for as soon as Wednesday, though it is playing it a bit risky. Assuming of course you have all your documents ready, police cert, medical, I-134, birthday certificate.

Thanks for the info Shiran. My fiancée is paying a consulting company in Kiev to help her through the process. She met with them already and the DS160 is in the works. Today she is scheduling the medical. I have already filled out the  I134 form. Not sure yet what exactly the procedure is to send it, but we are progressing. Still need to pay the fee of course. I sure want to be there for the interview but not sure it makes sense to fly there, fly back and the fly there a week or two later to escort Natasha to the US. How important do you think it is to be there for the interview?

Because the NVC question has been resolved and this is now a country-specific thread, thread is moved from the K-1 Process forum to the Russia/Ukraine/Belarus regional forum.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I would advise you to be very careful while following any suggestion from this consulting company. There are a lot of people preying on people's insecurities on both sides of the border. Ukraine is not that complicated. Filling out DS-160 can be a pain due to how poorly website works, but it is pretty straightforward. You don't even need KEV number for it, WAC number will do. Make sure to hit "Save" button after every page, or you will have to redo it due to website crashes/session time outs.

Form I-134 is on you, the petitioner. Verify that version of I-134 you filled out is new, it was recently updated at USCIS website. Fill out PDF and send it to her via e-mail, then print Page 5 of it (Signature Page) and sign it, then scan Page 5 alone and send scanned image of signed page 5 to her as e-mail as well. Have her print PDF, throw away page 5, then print image of the signed page 5 and put into form instead.

Go to IRS website, and download last 3 years of of Tax returns. Put "Income Verification" as purpose. Send those to her as well in e-mail to print. Bundly those together with I-134.

To pay Visa Fee ($265 paid in hryvnas at fixed conversaion rate currently $1 = 26 UAH) go to:

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ua/UADepositSlip2.html?fee=62&quantity=1

Print deposit slip (do it on the day you are paying ,notice it expires in a day of 2 from today) take the deposit slip to Raiffeisen Bank  (any brunch, put has to be that specific bank)

Keep the slip they give you, you will need to enter it when scheduling your interview appointment.
