Hi,

I am a U.S. citizen through naturalization. I'm  filling the I-129F form for my fiancee and on the section "Your Citizenship information" asks for the Certificate number, date and place of issuance. I came to realize, I misplaced or lost my certificate and never made a copy or took a photo of it. Requesting a copy takes about a year so I'm looking to other options,

I do have my U.S. passport and I'm living abroad as of right now.

Has anyone filed out the form without that information?

Any help will be appreciated.

You can use the passport as proof

Should I leave the section asking for certificate number, date and place blank?

I'm not sure blank is the right answer but unknown might be better

This is just my case - I left blank for my I-130 because I had not access to my certificate as I was away for a long business trip. It got approved, no RFE.
