I see. Well as long as the text is big enough to read without issues it shouldn't matter how you decide to print it.

I have seen enough RFEs for not sending monthly bank statements so I sent every single page we had. That is 6-8 pages every month since we got married in late 2016. If they send me an RFE it won't be for bank statements at least. 😇

Thank you for your input. I also received an RFE because I sent insufficient financial evidence. I also blackened the transactions on bank statements because I didn't think they wanted to see all the transactions. But now I know that this is exactly what they want to see.

But according to https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-information/form-filing-tips , USCIS wants supporting documents to be single-sided only.

Thank you very much for the very helpful link. Wish I knew that link earlier. But it is still very helpful, because I got a RFE to send in further documents.

Timeline

I submitted 3 months of bank statements, accompanied by 3 years of joint tax filings at the interview. We were recommended for approval at the interview and received the new 10yr green card about 2 weeks after.  I don’t think you need to provide any more than that unless your level of income is questionable.

Btw to those getting RFEs, I originally sent in only the I751 app, a letter explaining why I filed that document 4mo late, and some photos of our kids and us together and never got an RFE. Financials and other pertinent docs were submitted entirely at the interview.

FYI - saved paper and used 2 sided copies for all our evidence.  We didn’t have any issues and approved.

What I'm not sure about is whether you really have to print out every single page of bank statements? So also the pages without transactions, where only general things of the bank are listed?

Same with the utility bills.. where one page shows the bill, but 2 or 3 pages are just the same information every month. Did you sent every single page?

I got a RFE and want to make sure I sent in enough evidence. The last time I just sent in the very first 3 months (from 2017) and the very last 3 months (from 2019). I assumed that they would see that everything was persistent... my mistake.

There appear to be two approaches on this forum.

- supply everything

- supply quarterly.

Regardless everybody agrees that less than quarterly is incorrect.

We went quarterly with the stuff we had (phone, health,) and it was not brought up. With the new policy on public burden it looks like some IO's are asking for more than lets say 6 months ago. Pick what you are comfortable with.
