We sent it all. Was quite a stack. Many trees died in the service of our evidence pile. :P

We sent bank statements from all our accounts. We didn't include any pages of the statement that were messages from the bank --- only transaction pages. We included credit card statements from joint cards. We also included about 20 photos of the period from marriage to filing. In addition, we included proof that he is on my benefits on my job. As an aside, we also created a folder that is Post ROC filing and have been including updated bank statements, credit  cared statements, photos, and other evidence of continued relationship, financial co-mingling, etc. post filing of the I-751.

Is it better to include the complete statement or can you just send the first page with name and address and balances ?

We will be including all tax statements as well as deed for our house with property tax statements in both our names.

Better to send complete statement.

They want to see active account, comingling, etc.

I don't think first page with name, address, and balances would be sufficient. I wouldn't chance it.

Try to include transcripts of taxes. You can get from IRS website.

That should work..... Include copy of this year's return (not transcripts, if not available).

I think I was able to pull our 2018 transcripts a few weeks after we received our refund.

It's a frustrating process trying to get the transcripts from the IRS; I've tried creating an account online twice now, and each time their system says the info provided is not correct (though it is), and locks me out for 24 hours. So I will probably be sending copies of returns including 2018.

That aside, and as what is probably really insignificant, I was wondering if there would be any preference as to the chronological order of the bank statements? Oldest to newest? Or newest to oldest, so they are seeing the most up to date information first? Probably overthinking things at this point after organizing and staring at endless stacks of printed material all day.

Mind you the following statement is what happened a few years back when we went through ROC.

We headed over to our credit union (yes credit unions are much better than an bank and non profit!).  Anyway sat down with a credit union employee and had an official letter drafted that stated when my wife was added to my account.  Had a statement that listed the joint accounts with balances of our checking, savings, money market, and IRA.  Over kill?  Maybe but finished the entire visa journey without any RFEs.

To address your issues with the IRS and trying to confirm your identify.  You are directed to enter items like the last four digits of a major credit card, mortgage account number, etc.  I have no idea what is wrong with the IRS web site.  After correctly entering that information (like you) we were locked out for 24 hours.  Went back in and finally were able to get through the login.  You might want to consider having the IRS transcript being mailed to you.

best wishes and God bless

On a side note I would strongly suggest you sent the official IRS tax transcript and not just  a copy of your tax return.

just my two cents!

I'm sending my package in a few days and I will include ALL bank statements. That's 6-8 pages a month for over 2 years. They sure won't give me an RFE for bank statements at least.

Not hard at all, you don't need to sign up to have them mail you your transcripts. You don't need an account.
