K1 Visa - medical and interview query

Hi all,
Just looking for a bit of advice. We received our NOA2 in February and we called the NVC and we got an email with our case number and checking on the Dept of State website it says we are ready for the interview. My question is, do we have to wait on a letter or email with further instructions or do I go ahead and book the appointments?

This may seem obvious, however, its very stressful.

Thanks

Keith

You require a London specific answer

YMMV

Actually this was answered in a post earlier today.

1. No letter is required for your interview other than your appointment confirmation which you can print out yourself after you book the interview.

2. Medical however does require some sort of letter to prove your case number is legitimate. Most people print out the NVC email or a screenshot of the CEAC website. What they're looking for is some sort of document with your LND number and your visa category on it.

Yes, the interview will be in London.

Visit and read the UK regional forum for other answers to London specific questions and topics

Your embassy in London wants you to wait on the letter and your K1 instructions. Do read and comprehend those preferred  procedures before jumping in head first. https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

But experience has shown that to get a medical appointment over the phone, all you need is your LND number which you have. But there are a number of things you have to take to the medical so get those in hand. NHS can be very slow providing you with your medical summary or shots for example. Clinic website with list: http://www.visamedicals.co.uk/us-bring.htm

YES!!  to comment that you need to be in the UK FORUM now.

I was worried about the same thing. A print out of the email confirming the LND  number from the NVC can be used at Knightsbridge. The official letter from the Embassy was only a list with a link to get the instructions needed to book your medical/interview appts. I found that everything we needed to know was found on here, and in most cases the advice given on VJ was much more thorough and clear. I would book your appointments, because the availability can be painful sometimes! Good luck with the last stage of your process!
