Medical/Interview

Have been reading and learning the process, and would like to ask a couple of things. Once we   have filed the DS 260, I know its a long wait, till we hear for an interview date. I am allowed to book  my medical, even before  I would get my interview date? Or is that not allowed, And also, after when I have had the medical, are the results given to me in a sealed envelope, ready to give at the interview, or are they sent to the Embassy. thanks for any help. It depends on the embassy consulate, but usually the medicals for CR/IR cases can not be scheduled until you have the interview letter/email.  Remember, the expiration date of the visa will be determined by the medical exam date, so it wouldn't be good to do it too early anyway.  Again, each embassy/consulate has its own process for getting the medical results to the consulate......some require the applicant to pick up the result, some send the results to the consulate themselves, and some send it electronically....Your consulate will give you instructions.
