Does anyone know if the No Ban Act Legislation will include the backdoor Ban in the form of Ds-5535?

After reading and listening to Senator Coons and others, seems there is an emphasis on the Banned Countries only.

Please read and support the Act. There are more articles available on the net.

Although the No Ban Act has little chance of gaining approval by the GOP-controlled Senate, it has been sponsored by 32 Democrats in the Senate and 63 in the House. No Republicans sponsored the legislation in either chamber.

Politicians playing politics, none of them expect this to go anywhere.

"There have been efforts to challenge Trump’s bans in court, but last year the Supreme Court upheld the president’s travel ban, affirming his vast authority over immigration. The NO BAN Act would attempt a work-around: As explained by the ACLU, the bill would “require the government to meet a more stringent standard in suspending or restricting entry based on ‘credible facts’ and connected to ‘specific acts’ that have actually occurred”—as opposed to a president’s whims or fear-mongering."

I really doubt it as this form was created by the Department of State

They were at odds ( after the California terrorists incident that involved a couple here on a legal visa in 2015) to come up with a plan to feret out a potenial problem .  From what i can read about the creation of this form,   DOS worked long on what process to use to keep us and USA safe and this form is their answer ,   i say this as it doesn't look like a Trump "thing" and will continue to be used until the form itself becomes an issue for immigration (as it has added an extreme amount of work without adding new officers to do the security checks)

as for the ban  even if the Senate passes the appeal ,  like the Vogue article says it faces an uphill battle in the Republican House

I am so sorry you still wait for your wife to be here

incha allah you can soon be together

You, Boiler and Missileman could be very right; This No Ban Act Legislation can be just a political move in preparation for 2020 Elections. It is just sad to play with people s emotions and future. As you can imagine, I am emotionally involved in this ordeal and do look for any gram of hope to bring my wife home. Unfortunately, we are just collateral damage here, and as you know she is the last person to raise a red flag. On a positive note, we have had many updates recently and we do hope and pray she receives her Visa soon nshlah. Just pray and keep us in your thoughts she comes back with me in August. In a way, we consider ourselves lucky for I have summers off to be together for months, unlike many.

After some quick reads,  I must agree with the above responses;

It is almost impossible for this bill to pass. Both House and Senate must vote with over 66% each to override the president who will Veto the bill, of course, and that if it even made it to his desk. One would wonder why even introduce a bill if it won t pass.

Ostensibly to serve the needs and wishes of the member of congress' constituents.

But, why even bother when it is impossible. The Senate and President would never ever pass it.

one thing the Bill does here; it plays with people s emotions and gives False hope. On the other side, it serves political agendas to the ones behind it. Politics are Evil.
