Has this happened to anyone?

I got my oath ceremony on last week saying that my oath ceremony is on April 12th.

last night i got a call from USCIS saying my oath ceremony was canceled and it will be reschedule because my background has not been cleared. Then an hour later my account was updated saying that I missed the appointment even if the appointment was due the next day at 830am (today). I am so confuse. I tried to call and nobody has any information. I tried calling the number that called me and it goes to the VM of an officer Chen.

I am lost and my anxiety is through the roof.

It wasn’t a scam because it updated on the uscis website an hour later saying I missed the appointment even if the appointment was the next day.

It wasn’t. It was really them because an hour after the vm the website updated saying you missed your oath ceremony. Even if the oath ceremony was the next day.

They sure do. That's why they confirm your phone number at your interview and you also hand to include a good phone number on your initial N-400 submission, in case they need to contact you for reasons exactly such as this.

It's rare but it happens.

They called me.

Actually they do. In fact, I got a call a week before my Interview AND Oath Ceremony referencing details/date etc confirming the dates. The person seemed very nice and actually got annoyed a little when I told her yes I have all the details. She was going through where to go, when ti get there, parking (NYC!!), etc.

I would suggest calling USCIS and ask to be transferred to a L2 immigration officer (who can actually look into the details of your case) and see if they can give you any more information on the status of your application.

Well, are you aware of what's happening across the world right now. The world is in a midst of a pandemic and US is one of the worst affected countries. Do you need any other reasons? Also, the thread is from 4/2019 which is very old. You should start a new thread if needed
