They received my package on Jan 6 and I got approved (no interview) on the 13th of Dec. Status is now changed to "Your new card is being produced". Wishing you guys full of lucks!

Non-related question, how long should I wait to apply for naturalization after I receive my 10 years card in hand and does it really matter because it's been over 3 years since the day we got married now

did you have an interview for your I-485 ?

From what I can see, you sent in your packet in September and got your letter in that month as well. There are a group of us with Nebraska who applied in July and only got biometric appts in November. I think, if they are processing in the flurry that they finally seem to be having at LIN, you will hear something in January or Feb. If you don't I would then call someone. If you look at the LIN spreadsheet some have waited a year! One person I spoke to applied last January and LIN only sent them an appt. in September of this year!!

Did biometrics yesterday morning (they only took prints of two fingers, weird), and in the evening FINALLY  received an update text and email from USCIS. The case status now is "Initial Review". "During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation."

The case is only updated in the traditional dashboard (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do). The "new site" hasn't updated since receipt notice.

My paperwork got "lost'' apparently after I filed for change of status. December 2015. Biometrics Jan, 2016. Finally called our congressman in January  of 2017 Interview for March but had to change it because of big snowstorm. Rescheduled to September 2017. So almost 2 years.

My wife's case has been at LIN for 14 months, no RFE, no interview, did biometrics early this July, no online status updates besides 'We have received your case'.

Do you guys think getting local congressman/woman involved may accelerate the processing? We are an active duty military family and I am on orders to move to another duty station (another state) early next year, so we really want to get this ROC done before the move.

Thank you very much and happy new year!

Honestly I do not believe a congressman can assist you in this position. You are still in the normal processing range. In my experience having a congressman seeming let's in your behalf or contacting the oversight politician results almost no assistance, at least in my wife's case. I know it frustrating. We filed early February 2019, had biometrics in September. No movement since then. No RFE, No interview etc. I think we were in a flurry of action in November and early December with i751 cases but we have slowed down during the Holiday season. Just ensure you update your new address as soon as you receive your new orders.

Best of luck.
