Hello everyone! I just got a biometrics appointment letter (8 months after initial I-751 filing). I have my conditional green card (expired in April) and letter of extension (for 18 mons) and passport from my original country with my old last name (maiden name) and of course marriage license to prove I changed my last name to husband's. I don't have state ID or driver's license.

Would expired green card and letter of extension be enough for that appointment?

Also, am I going to have a problem to enter the building? I don't remember if guards checking ID's.

Yes, that will do!

Submitted date: September 19, 2018. Hi everyone, I'm new here. Today I also looked at my case and I have this message.I never changed my names. Does anyone have any idea what this message means.

Saw the same issue some where a few days ago.

Have you called the USCIS and what did they explain to you? I think it's a mistake.

👆 Let's go to this thread to discuss the timelines in Nebraska (LIN) center! 👆

This is so confusing. 😥

My son filed his i-751 case last June 2018. He did his biometrics July 2019. A few days ago he received a NOA saying they transferred his case from CSC to National Benefits Center so an interview on his case can be scheduled.  Today he received another NOA saying his case is transferred to Nebraska Service Center. A glitch perhaps? Anybody here received 2 different NOA on the same month?

He told me he rather get an interview than waiting for a decision.

Since NE asked me for an RFE, we are expecting them to ask the same thing for my son so the documents are ready to be mailed out.

I called and they told me that the names in their system were correct. But somewhere I read that after such an update they got approval within a month.

Okay, so maybe what I heard was true.  After updating your name (even if you haven't provided name change information) within a few days, you get approval. The whole process took me 11 months except 7 days. https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do Use this link to verify your case.  Because in the other link you will find in the forum later updates the information. Good luck to everyone and remember each case is different.  Throughout the process, I never had an interview.  Only one in my country at the embassy to issue my visa. EE8CAB7F-8743-4074-81C7-735017BD8BB4.thumb.jpeg.fd40bc0ac91acc9f3a38d6e14ad5ecaa.jpeg

April 2018 filer - case was transferred to Nebraska in March 2019 where it sat doing nothing. Just got an email to say it's been transferred to yet another USCIS office. Fun times. I guess I won't find out where until I get the NOA in the mail. Maybe my N400 submission triggered the move? Who knows!
