And the mystery of the ROC filers of September who did the biometrics but never saw any update online then the “case was received”.

This worries me. I have never seen this never mentioning the biometrics update at all.

I think that filing for citizenship may be the way forward. The 3 year greencard Mark is November 2. Received it nov 2 2017. And I can even apply for citizenship 90 day’s before nov 2?

what I wonder is if it is actually possible to do so while ROC has not been approved yet.

It’s not just a group from September. I’m back from October 2018 and in the same boat, and there are a few others like me in the October 2018 thread.

It’s just a dumb conspiracy theory, but I feel it’s possible they hold some cases back to draw out their normal processing time windows.

Ugh, seems LIN is a very bad ROC service center. I am going to apply the N-400 as soon the window opens.
Maybe those LIN zombies will then wake up.

I don't understand why they bypass ROC's from almost 2 years ago and have gone ahead and pushed through many from June, July and even August 2019. Does not seem right. No organization...but then again, it is the government so a lot does not make sense. I have had folks around my LIN# get their cards. I have heard nothing. Even an RFE would be something at this point.

Yep here is another one. I filed on October 30, 2018 with LIN.  I did biometrics in July, 2019. Nothing since then, now it's over an year with no news. I called USCIS last Tuesday, they told me that my file is not lost (yay!) because somebody looked it up and opened it on April 2, 2020. Why they didn't do anything with it it's a mystery.....

We filed April 2019, did Biometrics in December. We did our interview yesterday, 7/13, and I received notice my spouse's greencard was approved today, 7/14.

One very odd thing was we received a rescheduled interview appointment from our field office in Cleveland a month ago (original was cancelled due to COVID), and the very next day the USCIS website said the interview was canceled. Someone else in one of the forums said they had a similar experience and just showed up for the scheduled interview, so we did, too.

Congratulations! That’s so smart of you guys, to going anyway to the interview.

It’s just unbelievable, what a mess going on at uscis. I hope, it will be sold to a private investor, who will buy the whole department for 1$, and starts doing excellent  service to the people for their money, under governmental  supervision.

Just got an alert saying my case has been transferred to a new office. A quick Google search tells me that can be for a number of reasons, so I guess I'll wait to get the letter that explains what the transfer was for.

That's the first update I've had since I did biometrics at the end of November, so at least I know they haven't lost my file!

I don't know if this is odd or not, but I just got another alert - with "on July 17th" instead of "July 16th" - saying my case has been transferred. It's like the system is trying to make up for the lack of notifications all at once!
