so we send our AOS application on 10th and USCIS received our application yesterday but today we noticed that our credit card was not active which we use for payment,, :(  what are the possibilities here which can happen? when they usually make transaction after getting applications ? or if they send notice for denial can we resend our documents back with valid info or we are done here ? 

please need some help here... we are so worried and sad

They will probably reject the petition and send your whole package back....along with an extra fee....If so, you will resubmit the package, a new form of payment, and the service charge (if they send it).

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

If they are unable to process payment then they will reject and return the packet. You can fix the error and refile.

what do you mean by (if they send it) can you explain it please?

I've seen some people receive their whole package back and when the filer resubmitted, they required them to pay  a an additional service fee.  I'm not sure if they send it for cards,.......is the card now active?

I think the fee was $35.00.

I don’t think they have done it yet but will early next week so hopefully you are good.

My I130 has a credit card payment form on it and they missed it.  They sent the whole thing back as no payment included, with a green paper to put on top so I didn’t lose my place in line.  Different but similar situation.  It wasn’t the end of the world and I don’t feel like I added any processing time.

Hopefully you activated  in time, they aren’t very quick.

I wouldn't worry too much as long as the card is active now. The credit card we used to pay for our application wasn't charged until four days after USCIS received the package. Fingers crossed that it all works out so you can move forward without issue. But as others have stated, if the charge doesn't go through, they'll just reject and return it and you can refile, so not the end of the world.

Is it normal that i haven’t heard from uscis about my case that fee can’t be collected or send my documents back?

does anyone know if i call uscis what options do i need to choose to connect with the right person to ask about my non-delivered documents because of fee
