Hello Everyone,

For CR1 my case got updated 4th time (April 12th, 2019). I inquired them on Wednesday (April 10th). This is the 2nd time I sent them an email, first the time I send them was on March 11 and they updated my case the same day.

Now I am bit confused as this update is because of my email or they did it themself?

Also I got interviewed on January 17th, 2019.

I read in few threads that after 4/5 updates your visa get issued. Any idea will I be getting visa issued on next update or anything else. They didn't send me any email in response to my query -_-

I really appreciate your help. Thanks

No one could possibly know that.  Your case could be updated 100 times before the visa is issued.....

Which embassy/consulate did you have the interview?

I got the following response from embassy:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for writing to our office.  Your immigrant visa case is refused for administrative processing, an integral part of the visa adjudication and issuance process that can neither be neither expedited nor waived. Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict the amount of time the processing will take and timing varies based on the individual circumstances of each case.

Please be assured that we are aware of your concerns and will process the application to completion as quickly as possible, in accordance with U.S. laws.  We recognize that this process can be frustrating for applicants and regret any inconvenience.  The visa application will be reconsidered when administrative processing is complete.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Unit,

Consular Section,

U.S. Embassy, Islamabad

MAF

Any expert opinion?

Thanks

Expert opinion on what?   The veracity of the content of the letter?

No one here can predict any sort of AP timeline.  You have to take the letter from the consulate for what it says.

Prolongued AP is common for your consulate for various reasons.

We have had a total of 15 updates we even had some back to back (one 4 days in a row another 3 days in a row).  Six of those updates were due to inquires the others were on their own.

The update was most likely due to your inquiry it can take a few days to get the response.

No-one can answer when you will be getting your visa as each case is different.   Some people get many updates others just a few.
