Hello everyone,  I apologize ahead, but couldnt find information. Some people say we can travel outside the USA ,some people say we cannot.

I came to US in november 2018 on cr1 visa, still didnt get  a green card. Immigrant visa fee paid bfore enter the US, october 2018. My question, is it save to travel to my home country for 2 month witout the greencard in hands, will i be able to reenter to the USA. I got a stamp in my passport"admitted till november 2020,but my cr 1 visa expired april 2019.

We called uscis and they told us we can travel, but i do not know can i trust, bcuz person on the phone sounded unsure. I APPRECIATED FOR YOUR HELP.♡

Your Visa validity expired the day you entered the USA so don't concern yourself with that anymore.   The I551 stamp is you temporary geeencard and gives you all rights and privileges including but not limited to the ability to work and travel

YMMV

Not sure what it means(

The CR1 visa is a single entry visa for initial entry into the US. The CBP endorses that visa to make it a temporary green card valid for one year from US entry date.
