I received a call on fb messenger from a woman

Apart from the rest of this situation, this part seems so weird.. why would someone encouraging her boyfriend to marry another woman for visa fraud give herself away like this? Was she curious and accidentally clicked the call button? Was it Freudian? I suppose it's irrelevant to the question. Good luck OP's friend! Please post updates!

Maybe she was stalking Sarah's FB page, and accidentally dialed?

I don't think that'll be the case if she had been willing to share the info in a quick time - unless someone was on that phone and tried to send the alert?

Thats exaxtly what happened.  She Wasn’t on the other end of the phone which indicates she had no intention of speaking with her. Seems accidental. Best thing that could have happened She sent a couple of messages asking  if she intentionally is trying to reach her or if she rang by mistake.

Thank you for replying about this I was waiting for someone to do so. When I first signed up it took over a week for me to become a member. It really shouldn’t take that long. So I’m going to follow your instructions and do exactly that because she tried for two days and still nothing.  After reading messengez here, many members had the same issue. Hope he can fix it.

Very sad story. Sure tell the embassy and uscis you want to cancel the petition.

But if you do nothing, worst case he can come to the USA for 90 days, get an SSN, and state ID, and then go home.  Your signature is needed on a marriage license, marriage certificate, and affidavit of support, so unless he forges some documents, nothing will happen.

My fear is the nonresponses from Sarah may trigger suspicions from him. I know it may be hard for her but I would have advised to make a short and simple response that would keep him unaware of any changes. Hopefully, the visa gets canceled soon enough so she can move on from this.

Holy cow. What a horrible story. :(

For starters - it definitely sounds like to me that the other woman accidentally phoned her on Facebook. Considering she wasn't on the other line when she answered, and then when she went back to the page later on afterwards she was blocked - other woman probably did that figuring Sarah may try to look at her page to see who she was, and wanted to stay hidden. But she'd already seen enough. A horrible mistake, on her part, but a wonderful one for Sarah's benefit.

I agree with what someone else said earlier - if it were me, I would not confront the fiancé. I would make sure everything got cancelled, then block them all and let him find out the hard way that his visa's been denied. If he's smart enough to weasel someone the way he has, he's smart enough to figure what happened and that Sarah probably found out his real intentions. What a sorry POS this guy is. THIS is why spousal immigration is so difficult. Immigration in general is difficult, but fraud like this is so common and makes it harder for those who are legitimate.

The other woman is just as much a POS as the fiancé is. All of them are - the whole family, if they knew about it, too (which my instinct tells me they knew and know everything.) To put an innocent person through something like this for their own gains is deplorable. Let's just hope there is a red mark on his record somehow somewhere so if he ever tries to get a visa to the US again, it may pop up as a red flag and mess up future endeavors as well.

Håll ut, y'all.

Yes the best thing for her to do is not say anything until she contacts the consulate. Once she is sure everything is canceled. If she is wanting to tell him personally that it's over and why make sure you are with her. I've read on here some pretty crazy things the scammers say to try and wiggle their way back in. Personally I would cancel and block the entire family and let the consulate let him know his visa is denied.

Exactly the way I'd do it, too. I'd find it very hard to not be in tears because of how angry I'd be, and the last thing I'd want to do is give him the benefit of seeing/hearing how much he'd hurt me.   I'd just totally ghost.

Edit:  I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.  But I'm going to be that person.   OP please, please suggest your friend do everything possible to protect her physical safety in the future.   If her ex feels jilted, embarrassed, frustrated or angry about the outcome of all this (despite it being 100% his doing) then there is the possibility of him retaliating with violence or asking someone else to do so on his behalf. This has nothing to do with culture or religion, simply the fact that anyone who is callous and calculating enough to do something like this is also callous and calculating enough to try to harm the person who "ruined" their plans.

VJ'ers

I have a friend over who has been trying to become a member of VJ for 2 days now. System is not sending the verification email for her to verify and she's re-tried several times. Same thing happened to me and it took me a week to join. Hopefully any moderators reading this can help fix this problem the site is having.  She applied K1 Visa and I will let her tell you her story below and maybe you can all tell her your thoughts and the OBVIOUS on what to do. In the meantime I put in her K1 timeline for her:

NOA1: 5/20

NOA2: 12/28

CSC

Jordan

Interview: 3/5 - Approved

hi everyone. my name is sarah and im completely heartbroken and unsure what to do. after having this long distance relationship with the love of my life, we finally got to the end of our journey and got the k1 visa approved. We were both overjoyed.  best two weeks of my life following the approval. Now I recently came back from Jordan following and we planned to have my fiance come end of this month when he hopefully received his visa cuz its still shows in AP up until i left.

So now, about a week before I left jordan and after the interview, I received a call on fb messenger from a woman. no one was on the other line so I figured by accident? I wasnt going to think much of it but then opened up her facebook timeline to see if I knew her or if shes related to my fiance since I see she is in Jordan and as im scrolling saw many of the same romantic quotes and photos my fiance sent me. i immediately though this girl is obsessed with my fiance, stealing these posts from my wall, checking out who I am and somehow clicked call. But a voice said keep digging. i messaged her several times and she didnt reply. there is only one photo of her. i saved it. and saved all the posts. i took a moment to sit and absorb it all and think. i opened up her page again to have another look but couldnt. she blocked me. But not before I had flashed screened and saved everything because a voice just told me to. i made a fake account and took a full day looking up her friends, family etc. before i left jordan I had a girl I know there call, ask around, inquire, and do everything she can to find out "more". whatever "more" means. Boom! My friend knows HER friend. We made that phone call and several others following it. then i left it to info gathering over the last few days. to make this long and sad story short, so my fiance ends up having a long time relationship with this woman for many years. hes the love of her life and according to some, she is his. there was no money to marry her and her family is poor. So in order to "secure" her and their future he would make this sacrifice. hes going to do what a lot of muslim men do. take on a "second" wife. he will become legal, get the green card, get the citizenship then divorce and go back to marry his damn love and bring her here. He was pressured to marry her religiously prior to his "leaving" but she and him decided against it since he needed to produce the "letter of eligibility" showing he is single and free to marry. well good for them they thought ahead!!! He doesnt know I know all of this yet as the details were still coming in up until this morning. so so many details! but the picture is clear and looking back this explains alot of red flags i chose to ignore. like the texts he would receive and walk away to reply. i tried peeking over a few times. It was in arabic couldnt read it. I spent so much money from day one to invest in our love and life. i thought he loved me endlessly like he said. they way he crooned to me and things he said and how he did it. Just a great actor! i dont think his family knows. i met them they would never allow it. i will talk to them about it after i confront him. i know im lucky to know this now but i am broken. i need to recover from this shock. i will not confront him yet but will BEFORE he gets his Visa issued. So I want to know two things. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO REQUEST THE CANCELLiNG OF HIS VISA since its been approved or IS IT TOO LATE? Second, how can I report him to USCIS or Embassy of what he was planning? I want him banned for life! I will confront him tonight or tomorrow as soon as I have all the timeline put together and after I sent the request to cancel. please if anyone knows the best phone numbers or the links, send those here if you can so my friend can simply forward them to me and I can click and go through the proper channels. I dont want aramex deliver visa to him. when I am able to make an account here i will update more. thank you. sarah.

Best and faster way to contact the embassy is through her congressman or senator office, they have direct contact with all embassy around the world.

She can enail they with the details and ask for cancelation of his visa.

Also she can search the emergency phone of the embassy for us citizen and contact them

All embassies have a number for us citizen energency, so she can has help in that phone.

I feel so bad for the OP, and I , for one, hope that this guy can never try this again. I hope he's barred at every attempt at getting into the US, but even that, I feel, won't stop him from trying to pull this on another person. Now I've not confirmed this but I heard there are certain pages dedicated to warning people about this type of fraud that do name names. Perhaps it would be beneficial to add this shining example of humanity (:|) to such a list if it exists?
