Just a question..

If an expedite request is made through the military hotline vs. the regular line through USCIS.. are the officers making the decision more military influenced?

in a sense that if it was for an expedite request other than deployment, but rather needed for a veteran, are the officers that deal with those requests from the hotline more specific to military personal?

Or would the request be made through the line but given to an "generic" officer for decision?

Thanks

Should just be standard USCIS people. Just maybe more specific to dealing with military matters; but except for deployments, haven't heard much about military expedites other than that so.

that's what I was wondering.. if there are specific officers that deal with military matters only..

My fiancé had made an expedite request for our k1 through the military line and it was approved and it was not for deployment.. he is a USMC veteran.

Ah interesting. Didn't know veterans could just call and ask. Ours was quick process so didn't matter but I'm Army vet so. Well that's interesting. Could still be case by case but that's good info.

well we actually had requested under medical and financial.. medical due to his PTSD and financial for more personal matters and it was approved.

I wasn't sure veterans could be approved for that but we took that chance and it was approved.

Then definitely seems case by case. Still good to know.

Medical and Financial are included in the reasons anyone can ask for an expedite.

Oh yes, I understand.. I just wanted to know if the military line is more beneficial to call for the same reason, would it make a difference on the discretion..

Your timeline shows K-1 visa denied at interview.  What is your current situation?  Still waiting on a waiver application?  Are you talking about an expedite for the waiver?  Was your file sent from Montreal back to USCIS after the denial?

Hi, yes it was denied at the interview. I was deported in 2017. Since the interview, I have submitted my waiver to USCIS and just waiting on that process.

They told me that my file will be left at Montreal while my waiver is "pending"..

and yes, I was inquiring about the expedite for the waiver too

Any chance I could communicate with you through email or FB? 100% VA rating, ARMY Combat Veteran.  I'd just like to pick your brain and see where I went wrong in my expedite requests for my Wifes I-601.  Thanks.
