Hi - I am LPR (had green card for 5 years) and recently received Rejection Notice for I-131 for Travel Document as I have in error dated check 2018 instead of 2019. The notice stated:

The due date one the check you submitted is not current.

The application and supporting materials were returned with a green slip which they asked me to place on top when I re-send the application with correctly dated check.

Each sheet of the application also has bar codes showing it has been scanned through their systems.

I plan to send the application with correctly dated check today -  but have one question.

I have sent the application on 13 March, 2019 and received the rejection notice on 3 April, 2019.

The intended departure on the application is 19 March, 2019, however, I am still in the US. Should I complete a new application stating a new departure date? Or can I send back the existing application that USCIS have already put through their systems and have bar codes at the bottom of each page?

Thank you
