IR1-Still in AP

I applied for my wife when i was LPR and when i got my Citizenship, i updated the procedure. my wife appeared the interview on Dec 6 but she was given 221(g) white, asking for additional documents. on Dec 10th she submitted the additional documents at the embassy. i mailed couple of times to the embassy and the reply was AP.

Recently, they  called my wife and inquired about my parents. they called my father to verify as if i'm married to my wife and similarly, they called my father-in-law.

Since then , CEAC website is updated every 4 days but the case is still in AP.

i'm so tired of waiting. i filed my I130 on sept 2016.

Any one gone through same process?

Any time duration for such case?

Will the letter from Senator or congress men help?

Thank you for replying . i'm just curious about waiting till june to write the senator!!
