Hello,

I am from Jordan and my fiance is a US citizen, when we filed the petition, regarding the section inquiring if the beneficiary has relatives in the US, we answered "No", But later on, after submitting the petition, i was informed that i have an immediate cousin living in the united states, we are not close, so i had no idea, would this make a problem during USCIS review of the petition? I was intending to inform the consulate at the interview level with this and be honest about it. but i am just curious to know if anyone has been in this situation and yet got approved without any problems.

I believe the question is "immediate relative" which a cousin is not

YMMV

I do not think the term relatives mean your immediate cousin

Get to DS-160 stage, as far as I remember there is a complete list of who is considered a relative immediate enough to qualify. That is, you may only check a box and not put someone on your own. Don't recall cousins being on the list.
