You will only get the generic replies from the Consulate. While I stand by my comment of the 6 weeks being unusual, we can have no idea what is slowing down this approval .. whether it is specific to this application or a general change in processing policies and procedures that is affecting all applications. There is not much you  can do... but I do agree that it is worth your husband contacting his senator and asking for them to enquire into it

Thanks!  I will definitely have him do that!

Seems everybody else got theirs last September so was looking at that delay.

I read it to be a separation of the I 130 s resulting in totally different processing times through NVC to Consulate. Two ended up together ... September interviews , one was a bit later .. October interview .. and the last one was assigned to someone in the system who went on extended leave .. and they finally saw the pile of paperwork sitting on the desk gathering dust around Christmas .. or am I being too cynical ? 😬

I think that about sums it up!  I'm okay with all of that now (that its over)  but it just seems weird that they seem to have changed policy on giving approval at interview and issuing visa within a week or two, to making us wait till goodness knows when!  Especially that I know she should be approved as her paperwork was perfectly inline with all of ours and we were all approved without question.   Sigh.........
