Ok I don't want to have a repeat of what happened with just_waitings interview. I want to be assured that he brings everything he could possibly need to this interview and then some.

Sooooooooo...........I am going to make binder for him with sheet protectors, tabs, and an index...the whole nine yards and send it to him so he can easily refer to anything he needs. I am planning putting in the following and please if you have any comments or suggestions, let me know :D

1. Applications/Forms (broken out into sections)

2. Copies of Birth Certs.

3. Copies of Passports

4. Copies of airline tickets

5. Photos

6. Phone records

7. e-mails

8. Copies of retruned checks

9. Medical

10. Police Certs

What am I forgetting?

JP,

A binder is a great idea, I used sheet protectors as well as tabs to label sections.

You should also include:

1) certified copy of your divorce decree

2) forthcoming approval from NVC/NOAs

3) boarding passes matching airline tickets

4) copy of passport showing entry to and exit from Jordan

5) I-134, affidavit of support for fiance visa with supporting documentation, such as tax returns (I sent copies and IRS transcripts), bank statements, letter from your employer

and just to be overly safe include both originals, certified copy and regular copy so he can quickly give them whichever they request.

good luck :D

Your right this is all a good idea. I found this thing at Walmart where I can make a book type of thing out of it. It works well and everything you need fits in and its nice and organized. Im just trying to get prepared so when my interview does come were prepared.

As usual, these are all great suggestions! We should all do this :P

Sure we should! And I didn't do anything like that, LOL! Must have been lucky, I guess, to have an easy interview.

Remember, you still have to rely on your SO to actually take the thing, LOL! Plus, he is the one that needs to put in the police certificate, military papers, CIB receipt, etc.

Sooooooooo, you gotta stay on top of him to do his part . . . LOL, and keep your minds out of the gutter, that is not what i mean  .

I figure...If I atleast give him one place to put everything and granted, he follows that, that we have a better chance. If I rely on his filing system, which is everything goes everywhere, then I'm not sure If he will bring everything we need.

I will do everything I can short of flying there and putting on his clothes and going to the interview myself to make sure it goes smoothly! :D

I don't think you really need to give them what they asked for in the file, they already have that on the applicant. I would just give him everything on you. DL, SS card, information about you and him, like u said, phone records, photos, emails, letters, receipts, Western Union receipts, chat records (don't forget those) copy of your passport, copy of entrance and exit of the country. copy of airline tickets, baggage luggage tickets, anything that would prove to them before and after the marriage or engagement.

In Jordan the bank receipt, forms, medical and polioce reports are sent back prior to the interview. Maybe the other stuff would be good to have in case. And remember the medical is in a sealed envelope.

It is a good idea to make sure your SO has a complete copy of everything you sent in to the government throughout the process, and not just right before the interview. They need to study everything you told the government and ask you any questions they have before the interview. What you sent in is all the CO will have seen before they get the packet your SO brings or mails back, so that is where the answers they expect to their questions will be coming from.

No, the embassy doesn't send anything back. The applicant should have sent those back when they returned the packet. Sorry for the confusion. What I was saying is that you cannot have made a copy of the medical because it was sealed by the Dr. They other things you may have made a copy of, but when we sent everything back, so they could give us a interview date, if something was missing when they checked the documents to schedule the interview, they would have requested them and thus the interview date would have been postponed. Other things are good to provide, if you remembered to make a copy of them prior to sending them to AMM. And your K1 AMM, which I feel is rare...so they may look for more evidence than those who have been married and are CR1/IR1/K3. Just a thought. Can't go wrong with tons of evidence though.
