Hey guys...  USCIS received our I-751 case 07/01/2020...  from a CR-1 visa and was directly assigned to MSC center.  NOA1 notice date was 07/23/2020.  Around 08/15 we received I-797C for Biometrics with notice date of 08/11/2020.  I brought my wife and two step-sons together.  USCIS auto-generated separate MSC cases for each stepson, but, biometrics was only requested for my spouse (so far).  The biometrics date is next Friday 08/28 near Memphis.

Makes me wonder why my case that was received April 24 has absolutely no movement... How do they even process cases received?

Sounds good. I am gonna try and get an appointment too. Are you planning to get it via USCIS helpline number? Because I see they have disabled the online mechanism of getting the infopass appointment.

Were you able to get infopass appointment?

yeah I kept trying since a couple of weeks and was replied with a no I can't get an appointment as I do not have an emergency reason(like travel, employement need, etc.). But finally this week on thursday I tried again to get an appointment and my extension letter was expired too so they considered me under that reason and luckily had a slot available too. So yeah I got it for next week.

Nice. Did you had to wait for Tier 2 officer to call back? How long did you have to wait? We convinced tier 1 agent to get an appointment but she said that tier 2 officer would call back in 5 day.

Yeah I had to convince the tier 1 officer to get the schedule a call with tier 2 and luckily I got the call back the same day from tier 2 within an hour. But i think it depends when I first tried to get a schedule call the tier 2 was not convinced of me allowing to get an appointment so officer to officer its different and this time slot was also available also and he got it booked for me. So there are two parts to it first the tier 2 should be convinced also to get you an appointment and also the slot should be available at the same time. Otherwise they tell to repeat the process again other day.

My case I-751 has been at “ready to be schedule for an interview” since October 2019. I called USCIS yesterday, the rep/officer I spoke to said my case is outside the processing window. Advised I should call today and request to speak to a tier 2 officer, which I did.
The tier 2 officer said my case is still in the window and I should keep waiting.
Anyone else been waiting this long?
