Processing Times (I-751) for MSC (National Benefits Center)

Timeline

Traveling to India with Extension Letter is not an issue, my wife went to India in Qatar Airways/ Emirates Arlines twice once in Jan and back and again in Feb and back in Mar.

Unless there is a very emergency need i wouldnt travel to India at this time.  US/Indian  Policy can simply say you can board the flight for whatever reason. Please check that first before you take the terip

Thank you so much for the information. I am going to travel in the last week of November and come back in December. 3 weeks long vacation. It's my only sibling's wedding. They postponed it from april to August to November. So I have to be there.hopefully things will be better by then.🤞🤞

If anyone has entered data into the MSC spreadsheet since march 5, 2020, please re-enter your data.  I was forced to revert to a previous version due to extensive corruption of the spreadsheet format by unknown parties.........

Please just enter your data in a blank row.........😃  Don't change the format of the spreadsheet......

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Ahh that explains why I couldn't find my info when I checked recently. I was pretty sure i'd put that in. Will re-enter my info, thanks!

12-Feb-20 - Biometrics appt completed; Status: Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken

07-Oct-20 - Case ready to be scheduled for interview

06-Jul-21 - Interview scheduled

I just reverted it a few minutes ago.   Someone modified the format so much, it was impossible to correct the errors short of full reversion.  I wish there was a way to set permissions for data entry only.

Question: Any of you May/June 2020 filers that came on CR-1 and have a receipt no starting with MSCxxxxx...- did you receive anything regarding biometrics yet?

It could take about 7 months to get the biometric notice. Be patient.

Hey @BobKat I am a June 2020 filler with Msc receipt notice. I haven't heard anything regarding Biometrics yet 😭. still waiting.Though I got my extension letter.

Thank you! I’m not sweating it.. I just need to travel in September and want to avoid rescheduling. Who knows anyways what happens at August 31st, possible furlough for USCIS? This is all quite interesting...

7 months? Because COVID? Usually biometrics is scheduled 4-6 weeks after filing, which seems true for most cases before Covid..
