Update :

got my interview 3 days ago.

the agent asked some questions about how we met , how long we spent before the marriage, what do we work , what's in common between us, etc..

At the end she said ok I'll give yr case a review before the decision.

in about 7 hours my case was changed to ^we ordered yr new card^.

next day changed to ^yr case is approved ^

I applied Feb. 2019 NYC

I wish everyone will get that sooooon.

Congrats!

How long are people waiting for interviews? My status has said ready to schedule since May 22, 2019.

I called them a month ago and they said this was unusually long and they would escalate. They said if I didn't hear anything in a month to call them back.

Oh God that would be great.

But I also read some horror stories, that people miss the interview notice in their mail, and it's basically a no show.

Because the status says "we cancelled the interview scheduled" but it was never scheduled?

I'm having a bit of a freak out over here. My husband is currently on an I-551 stamp that expires on April 27th, 2020 (as he's waiting for his I-751 to be processed and green card to be in hand). We live in the Seattle area and already the USCIS office has been closed down for two weeks due to an employee testing positive for COVID19. All of the schools in our area are closed until at least April 27th, 2020, so I'm suspecting USCIS will follow suit. I'm trying to be a bit proactive here and am wondering what he should do if the USCIS office is not open to renew his I-551 card before it expires? His I-751 application was submitted in September of 2017. It was moved to NBC sometime in 2018. We have not heard anything since. If his I-551 stamp expires, he cannot work. We called USCIS today and they told us we could contact NBC by mail (not email or through phone), is this really our only option? Is there anyone in a similar situation? And what can we do? Any suggestions?

Hi, this morning I just received the same notice as Renegade:

Interview Cancelled

On March 12, 2020, we cancelled the interview scheduled for your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number MSC19907XXXXX. We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This was confusing because we have never received an interview notice. Been at "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" since June 5th. I called the 800 number and was told that, while an official interview was not scheduled, the Request for an Interview does expire and needs to be refiled to be put the petition back in the queue. This is most likely because they have a back-up in applications and with the other interviews they have to schedule and complete that were in the queue before my husband.

At least he confirmed the petition was at my local office. And he thought, maybe, I would be getting a letter from them. Nothing to do but continue to wait.

Not super clear, but that was the info I was given. (Sigh)

HI Boodaloo1,

I just spoke with the call center and he confirmed that none of the local offices are closed anymore including Seattle. I would double-check. Though I know information continues to change by the hour.

I've seen in the forum that you have to wait until you are within the 30 days of expiration in order to schedule an info pass appt.

Good luck to you!

I wish this was the case on our end! Our office will be closed at least a few more days as a staff member had COVID19. They have a mandatory 2-week shut down from March 3rd which I’m sure will be extended.

I am still hoping that they just try to approve the strong cases without interview! I am tracking cases with the number +-10 from mine, and there are some that are waiting for the interview notice for 250+ days without cancellation notice, mine was only around 190 days.
