My understanding was that the National Benefits Center really just prepared the files for your N-400 process which takes place at your local office.  Are these I-751s only or is everyone filed N-400 also?

I was thinking of this one: https://www.uscis.gov/archive/blog/2012/06/national-benefits-center-what-it-is-and but maybe they changed it. I remember when we were doing I-751, all the people who filed for N-400 had their cases transferred there on their way to local offices but I guess they switched it up.

Ok, thank you! We will be filing as well, but I believe our earliest date is 01 February 2020. I'm hoping our Atlanta office will be good to us!

I-751 only.  We're not eligible to file N-400 until January.  My thinking is that all of these, like ours, that are moving so swiftly are all cr-1 cases where they are pretty cut and dry.  No adjustment of status or fiancΓ© visas involved.

I just realized that if having a CR-1 visa means faster ROC processing, that could be another pro vs. con when it comes to those deciding about CR-1 vs. K-1.

We chose this direction because it felt like the most "legal" way to do it.  It was the most straightforward way  to go.  We spend a year apart after we got married waiting for approval, but it was worth it.

I know source of that frustration my friend, chel0524 got interview date while he filed after you, I filed around same time.

I just want all of us to get interview date same manner he did.

of course it depends to how backlogged our local office are , but I want to blv NBC has authority over them and push'em to schedule according to their time frame.

Lot going on with each of us...

LOL!  I'm sorry we're causing your frustration!  I really hope you all hear something soon.  Ours seems to have moved very, very quickly.  I'm sure you'll hear any day.

I'm happy for Chel0254.  I'm just hoping an interview doesn't get scheduled while we are away for a few months in another country.

Man I am happy for you, dont get me wrong,

I have got to move to Cali for my job and everything is on hold for this interview, I might even lose that job.

I only wished field offices didnt have anything with interview date.

Mine, Vegas, is the top 10 slowest of all.
