I just got my 48 months today. You will be getting soon too.

When you contact congressman, who do you contact? State senator or like representative?

Expand

Every congressman will have a website where they offer assistance with federal agencies / immigration. Usually l, it’s right on their front page as an option. They each have different forms and methods for which to request assistance. You can probably Google your state and “immigration assistance.”

You can use this link to find your congressman and their main website: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative#:~:text=If you know who your, the U.S. House switchboard operator.

48-month extension letter arrived yesterday.  I-751 was sent back in May, 2021, so it's coming up to 2 years.  At least the name was spelled correctly this time.  That USCIS careless error took many months and a lot of patience to fix, finally a letter to the NBC USCIS office worked after two failed attempts with the online typographical error feature.  N-400 was filed last August, we're hoping for a combo interview soon but it could be a very long wait.

Just received my 10-year Green card today. Here is the timeline of my case:

02/01/2021     Case Received by USCIS

03/08/2021     I-797 NOA Letter Received

08/27/2021     Biometric Appointment Done

11/10/2021     Case Ready To Be Scheduled For Interview

12/13/2021     24 Month Letter Received

01/24/2023     Called USCIS For I-551 Stamp

01/25/2023     Missed 1st Attempt Call (They left voice message saying they will call me again, but I didn’t get any calls from them since then.)

02/18/2023     New Card Is Being Produced

02/21/2023     Case Approval Notice Sent

02/24/2023     Card Was Mailed to Me

02/25/2023     Card Was Delivered/48 Month Letter Delivered too

Field Office: Orlando

Receipt Number Starts With MSC

Seems like interview waiving is happening. I’m not sure if me calling them to request the stamp has anything to do with triggering the process moving forward or not. I do find it a bit strange that they sent me the 48 month letter at same time with green card.
Waiting for sure gets frustrating sometimes. I hope this helps a little bit and gives whoever in the same situation some hope.

Did you apply for N400? My case is still in NBC and no update. It is 22 months and nothing.

No, I didn’t. Mine took about 24 months for the entire process. Stuck with “Ready to be scheduled for interview” for 15 months.

What’s your case status?

My status is fingerprint was taken. I feel like maybe applying for citizenship slows down my case. Now I can’t get my 10 years green card in 2 years. Everything is so slow. Very frustrating!!

Is it I751 status or N400 status?

When did you file the N400?

I’m not exactly sure about the N400 process, but based on some other N400 filers posted, they should be reviewing both of your applications together and most likely will schedule you a combo interview, which means you won’t be getting the 10 yr green card, instead you’ll become citizen directly if you pass the interview.

You can check the processing time here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
From what I’ve seen, the processing time for N400 varies greatly between different field offices.

I am wondering if MSC is starting to issue the GC without interview? I got approved on March 14 even though it stated my case was ready for interview. I did call them over a month before asking for the status. Maybe calling them flagged the case and they decided to approve it.

It is hard to believe that would have caused the approval being over a month since I called, but who knows. All I know is it as approved just one month before 2 years. I originally filed in April 2021.

I was a bit shocked to be approved given that that MSC is a shoe in for an interview. Anyway, just wanted to update and find if there are similar MSC folk now experiencing approval without interview.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose.
Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

That would be great! It would save me a 5 hour one-way drive, so I’ll take it! I could do without a 10 hour roundtrip for an interview 😅

Ours was approved from there with no interview! My husbands receipt date was march 2019. We contacted our states immigration congressman and they inquired about our case and the next week I checked and it said case was approved. I think they are waiving interviews sometimes!

My case was approved two weeks ago after not hearing anything back till November 2021 that my case was ready to be scheduled for an interview. Got my extension letter for 48 months and 5 days later the approval notice online. Letter made it 3 days later. Just waiting for the new GC right now, seems like that takes longer than usual. Took exactly 2 years, well one day early ;).

Hi everyone!

I thought to check my case status today and it updated April 3rd to say "My new card is being produced". We haven't had an interview so I was very surprised but super happy to see it! I was pending to apply for n400 but this came before I had the chance to do it. I hope more people get their interview skipped and get their cards soon :)

I-751 filed Oct 2021.
