Guys i have some news! My husband's n-400 has been scheduled. I a mwaiting for the letter in the mail! Very excited! Still no movement on the i-751, so ridiculous but we are very happy that we are almost there.

Congrats!  Even if you do not hear about the i-751 or it is not mentioned in your N400 letter, be prepared for a combo interview where spouse must be present as well.  I see you are at the Newark, NJ office (same as in my case) and our interview was a combo interview although they gave us no heads up about it :)

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

I had posted this on another thread a few months ago:

I field for ROC (I-751) in February 2019 and for N400 in June 2020.  I received a notice back in July for N400 interview, but never received an interview notice for the I-751.  Our N400 interview was this past Friday, September 10 and the officer adjudicated the i-751 at the same time in a combo interview - we went prepared for a combo interview.  Both approved, and since Newark, NJ does same day Oath Ceremony, the Certificate of Naturalization was issued on the same day.  The i-751 portion took about 5 mins: we were not separated and the officer asked the following in the following order:

* to the US citizen spouse: what is your spouse's full name and date of birth?

                                                when did you get married?

how did you meet your spouse?

* to the applicant: what is your spouse's full name and date of birth?

We took a lot of additional evidence but was never asked to produce any of it.  We believe that it is probably because when giving the officer the original documents (birth certificates, green card, marriage certificate, first child's birth certificate etc), we also handed him the hospital birth records for the birth of our second child less than a month ago.

The N400 portion was about 15 mins, and straightforward: the 50 Yes/No questions that are in the application, 6 civics questions and confirming/signing of documents.

Good luck to all!   See timeline in signature below for details.

Question for the group. Does my wife need to be in the N400 interview? I already have my 10Y GC so we have already done that interview together.

No.  The only exception is if the interview letter specifies that your spouse must be present.  In our case, we had a combo i-751/N400 interview and the officer conducted the i-751 interview first with both of us.  For the N400 portion, only the applicant was allowed to remain in the room :)

Still waiting

Same. Been ready for interview for 160 days now here in Orlando. Knowing my luck, they'll try schedule the interview for May when I'm on a cruise in Alaska.

I have been "ready for interview" for a year (they also took liberty to "adjust" my "ready for interview" date to 6 months later. They scheduled an interview, they cancelled....

Anyway, if your files didn't stuck in the caves of National Archives, you should hear from them soon!

I have been waiting for interview since 9/5/2019. I then applied for my Naturalization in March 2020. Even that was under "active" review since 1/15/2021. I finally got my interviews scheduled for 3/3/2022 for both of my applications.

I had to make 4 separate requests for my N-400 being out of normal processing.

First and Second time I called they gave me case number and told me that you will get a call within 30 days. Each time they called exactly on 30th day. Finally after 2nd time they told me that they will escalate to 2nd tier agent. 30 day wait began again. On 29th day, I got a call and they said that they have created ticket with the service center and after about 20 more days, my status changed to Interview is scheduled.

Case was in status of “Ready to Schedule interview since Aug 2020” Meanwhile N400 is pending, current waiting time for n400 is 17.5 month in Dallas, TX. N400 case will reach the out of normal process time in early April, will definitely call in for inquiry on that day.
