We also included any additional evidence from the time we submitted the ROC application.  For example, we submitted bank statements every 4 months for the ROC application.  For the interview, we took every 4 month-bank statements from that time (when we submitted ROC application) to present.  btw, we were not asked for any evidence at the combo interview but always better to be prepared :)

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

They did not ask for 18 month extension. Did you submit extra evidence?

Yes, spouse attended although we did not receive any interview notice for the i-751 nor did anyone call to let us know it would be a combo interview.  We only received the interview notice for the N400.  We had to convey to the security guard that there is another pending application and our attorney instructed that US citizen spouse also attend.  Once they called our case, the first question the officer asked was "is your spouse here?".  The officer did not separate us and interviewed each of us with the other being present:

  • Questions to US citizen spouse
    • What is your name and address?
    • What is your spouse's name and date of birth?
    • What is your spouse's occupation and place of employment?
    • When did you get married?
    • How did you meet your spouse?
  • Questions to applicant
    • What is your name and address?
    • What is your spouse's date of birth?
    • Where does your spouse work and what type of work?

The officer then said he will adjudicate the i-751 and proceed to the Naturalization application and escorted the US citizen spouse out of the room.  Oath ceremony was about 2 hours after but worth the wait.

Hello everyone! March 2020 filer is here.

Got my case transferred in Nov 2020, got fingerprints taken in Aug 2021, no update on the case status - still "we transferred your case"

Contacted my congresswoman to find out if I don't qualify under USCIS criteria to expedite my case ( https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/how-to-make-an-expedite-request) - the only thing they can request on my behave would be my case status 😂

Filled for Naturalization - approx. waiting time for decision 7 mo. Feels like I'm almost there!

Thank you for reading!

Just talked to a USCIS rep, current processing times for MSC is 22 to 36 months. 😣

That's absolutely ridiculous. Removal of conditions should just be abolished if our incompetent and underfunded immigration system can't process a simple removal of conditions in a timely manner.
