I-751 status still says ready to schedule interview as of right now and i am hoping that it changes soon.

Hi everyone.. just an update i got my i751 interview letter as well today. It is the same date and time as my N400 interview. Does anybody know if we are allowed to carry phones inside the building?i have a lot of pictures on my phone of me and wide that i think should help with our case. Thanks

This is a good news, coming from MSC actually makes it a surprise as I believe it the slowest of all centers. I think it would be better if you print the pictures and take them long with you as hard copies rather than having them on your phone. From the experiences shared on here , I believe you would be allowed to go in with your phone but safer to have hard copies as well. When did you file your ROC and your N400 ? I think NY is on hold for years now, been waiting since June 2019…. Terrible experience.

Very good news!  I agree with @Greatdane11 to print a few of those pictures....we had sent in 20 pictures or so previously.  I wanted to ask what is the date of your interviews?  We also have a N400 interview coming up in September, but no word yet on the i751 interview but we are preparing for it to be a combo interview.

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

I filed I-751 back in Jan 2020. Status changed to ready to schedule interview in Oct 2020. Filed N400 in Mar 2021 and received interview letter for that Jul 2021. I hd been wondering if it was gonna be a combo interview since there was no update for i751. I got the interview letter yesterday for i 751 for the same time and date as N400 interview. Case tracker status still has not updated for i751. I did send Uscis a message though via the online account portal but i don’t think it helped as the letter is dated from before. I do think that filing N400 expedited the process though.

Please see my response above. I wish everyone gets an update soon as this process is very long and painful!

@Locito I feel you! I need to travel to Europe soon and I’m sure they gonna schedule my appointment for when I’m there 🤣 🤦‍♀️. You can actually call them and explain the situation and they can reschedule your appointment maybe even before you travel there is no problem. Of course have a copy of your flight ticket since they can ask for proofs but you’ll be fine. But yeah it stress you out even to reschedule but it’s not a big deal apparently. Take a big breath and enjoy your family and forget about the rest 😀

Filed online n400 today 08/06/2021. I751 still pending.

N400 status changed to actively being reviewed and nothing pending same day. Wondering what could be the reason??

Hi Everyone,

I too got the MSC as my processing center. I submitted my application 07/06/21, got my NOA a few days later, and now, 3 weeks later on 07/31/21, I got my biometrics appointment.

I was sort of taken by surprise. From reading through this thread, it seemed that the processing times were extremely slow, so I'm not too sure why this has come through so soon. Or, am I missing something with this? Is it mainly the wait between biometrics and the interview / approval that takes a long time?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Jesse :)

Getting the biometrics appointment is not what is taking long. It's getting the interview that is frustratingly long.

What would be helpful is knowing which local office is handling your case. That would give people a better idea of where they stand if they are assigned to same local office as you.
