I have received a status update this morning, stating that interview for for I-751 and N-400 were scheduled, WOOHOO!

I-751 NOA: OCT 21 2019

N-400 NOA: DEC 15 2020

My extension letter expired 4 days ago, so it seems that my call for an info pass appointment might have helped trigger things. Hopefully the interview will happen sooner than later, waiting the letter with great anticipation!

Ive got an infopass appointment coming up. Going to get the 551 stamp

Question is should i bring up the 751 case, its been 30 months now, and if so what should i say?

@Murphsegj I would come equipped with updated evidence of bona fide marriage and offer it to them.

It really should not take this long for them to decide if you entered the marriage in good faith.

My husband’s 18 month extension letter is going to expire in October. He has had the “Ready to Schedule Interview” message since Jan 13th. What happens when Oct comes and they haven’t scheduled an interview yet? How can he show he is here legally with everything expired? Also, we need to travel to see his family in Jan. Would he be able to do that if he got the I-551 stamp if nothing has changed yet? Is that safe to use to re enter the US? One more thing, he is and has been eligible to apply for his citizenship. We were waiting for the green card but is it a good idea just to do it now? This has been a very frustrating long process

What more would i give them. Weve been married for 6 years.

@Farrah schedule the appointment in october they wont give you the 551 stamp if your extension is still good. That stamp is the same thing as a green card.

Em, just got my bio appt letter for the 29th. I got it and my heart sank.

I think I'm screwed. I didn't think I would get the Bio appt so fast.

Some of you may know I'm going through a divorce and there is no way it will be processed in time if they call me to interview by the end of the year.

Rip my American life.

There are a lot of MSC filers (including myself) who have been waiting for a while after bio appt.  My bio appt was in March 2019....

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

Yup, I’m not worried anymore. I was just kinda stressed and hadn’t properly put the work in before I made the post.

I now know what all my options/outcomes are now just by searching this forum.

Actually found the notice on myUSCIS (the N400 only though…),

August 6th it is for the interview! can’t believe it’s getting so close to being done for good, I can almost touch it, so surreal.

Here is the link to the  2021 USCIS Ombudsman report. This might be of interest. Often, recommendations will be implemented. To clear the backlog and the frontlog due to COVID, interview waiver and adjucation of ROC based solely on risk assessment as before 2018, is recommended. There might be hope. Officer at ATL service center said that interview scheduling might take about 2 years..

06/29/2020 - package sent with USPS to Dallas lockbox

07/01/2020 - package delivered and signed for

07/08/2020 - CC charged

07/10/2020 - text message received

Normally, you call for Infopass appt 30 days before NOA expires. During Covid that was 10 days. They should be back to their regular 30 days. However, infopass scheduling seems to be still complicated and you have to demonstrate valid reason for needing the appointment ( job/drivers license/ travel). You can read that information in the report of the USCIS ombudsman I have posted earlier, pages 24-40, very worth the read.

You need to have your GC with your A number. The agent you will talk will ask a few question to verify your identity. They will let you know that someone will call you back within 20 days. It’s been 16 days and no call back, but in the meantime the interview has been scheduled, so I’m not sure I’ll get a call back.

You can call for an infopass when you’re 10 days away from the expiration date.

hope this helps !
