Processing Times (I-751) for MSC (National Benefits Center)

CA applicant, entered with CR1, got NOA 1 on 6/27 with MSC.....

After reading numerous pages here, is MSC a IV and biometric guaranteed center? and a way longer processing time comparing to others?

My friend submitted 3 weeks earlier and got WAC...but I was told that they only provided 4 pages of supporting documents, whereas I provided 20-30 pages at least..

Did I just complicate my case to a more difficult center? :(

if anyone can answer my doubts,

Thanks in advance

They sent your petition to MSC because USCIS has not interviewed you since you entered the US. The rules changed in 12/2018. Now USCIS interviews those who entered the US on a CR-1 visa.

Interviews are not necessarily a bad thing. They just want to see additional evidence and ask questions regarding your marriage.

Honestly, the interview is just a formality, most likely due to changes in rules with the last administration. Don't need to overthink it. Some people sent hundreds of pages of evidence and still got RFE and interview. Quantity over quality, in my opinion. I won't call MSC a difficult centre, although it certainly isn't as fast as some other centres as I believe MSC is the one that processes cases requiring interviews. Just sit tight and wait, and in the meantime, keep collecting new evidence to prove your bonafide marriage.

Received another Staus update on 6/14/21 that my notice was sent back to USCIS because it could not be delivered. Called and chatted with officer, no idea what notice, requested callback-callback came 3 weeks later. It was a second biometrics appointment, no idea why. Officer referred my request to NBC directly. Got reply today (less than 24 hours! What?) that I don’t need to come to a second biometrics appointment. I got status update that my case is ready to be scheduled for interview on April 7, 21.
Anyhow, despite confirming my address with USCIS multiple times, scheduling department at NBC does not put my apt no on my mail. Despite having my name and address in my mailbox, this mail will be returned to USCIS.
I hope they fixed it, because I don’t want this happening with my interview notice.
How can this be so chaotic?

timeline (ROC):

06/29/2020 - package sent with USPS to Dallas lockbox

07/01/2020 - package delivered and signed for

07/08/2020 - CC charged

07/10/2020 - text message received
